Black Lightning may yet join the Arrowverse. At Comic-Con International in San Diego, Jefferson Pierce himself Cress Williams revealed there has been talk about bringing the show into the Arrowverse fold -- and that it seems very likely to happen.

During a Q&A session, one fan asked if Black Lightning would ever join the Arrowverse. "I want Supergirl to come to Freeland. So there's been lots of talk... nothing official, but at this point, I wouldn't be surprised," Williams teased.

Unlike The CW's other DCTV shows, Black Lightning appears to take place in its own universe. Heroes like Supergirl, the Flash and Green Arrow simply don't cross over into Black Lightning or vice versa.

However, as the Arrowverse's five-show crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths" approaches, that could change. After all, the comic book event of the same name pruned down the DC multiverse and merged the remaining earths into one. If the DCTV event follows the same path, Supergirl and Black Lightning could both be brought into the main Arrowverse Earth.

Since Williams didn't say much on the topic, details are being kept under wraps. Judging by his certainty, though, we may hear more about this soon.
