Black Clover's Yuno is the epitome of the 3 C's: He's calm, cool, and collected at all times. His disposition may appear meek, but he's one fierce wizard with an insane amount of magic power. Yuno's raw power is enough to turn heads, but with the wind spirit at his side, he gains additional strength.
With the wind spirit, Yuno is able to level-up his spells and their impact. Add all of this to his four-leafed grimoire and he's one OP character. It's no wonder Yuno gains a touch of arrogance, as he believes it's only natural that he gain such power and techniques if he hopes to one day achieve the title of Wizard King.
10 Mana Skin
Yuno is one of the more silent characters, but he's as clever as they come. One could say that his skills of observation are top-notch as he quickly catches onto the mechanics behind creating a mana skin, which is the equivalent of coating oneself in mana as a protective barrier. It also allows Yuno to increase his physical abilities, which when competing with Asta in this area, Yuno is bound to lose.
This technique is known as reinforcement magic, which is used unconsciously, but when used with intent, the wizards' powers increase. One of the more effective times this technique comes in handy is when stepping into areas of increased, and sometimes volatile, mana zones.
9 Towering Tornado
The entrance exam for the selection of magic knights is on its final challenge when Yuno unleashes his spell towering tornado against his royal opponent Salim, who wields lightning magic. Salim suffers a crushing defeat as Yuno's wind spell takes over and swallows up the lightning. Yuno doesn't even bat an eye when Salim insults the village of Hage and points out the poor conditions he grew up in. He's not one for talking, so Yuno lets his magic do it for him as it wipes away Salim's insults in a single blow.
8 Wind Blade Shower
When Yuno and his companions reach their final destination at the dungeon, they come face to face with an enemy. This mage wields ice and fire, proving to be a formidable foe, but Yuno is not the least bit worried. Before Yuno acquires the wind spirit, his current level is strong enough that he's able to cast two spells at once, otherwise known as double casting.
During the battle, Yuno pulls out his swift white hawk to combine with a wind blade shower for this double attack. The blades are made of compressed wind, while Yuno is able to control how large the hawk becomes. It takes more than double elements to take this mage down.
7 Swift White Bow
When Diamond forces invade, it's up to Golden Dawn to defeat them. When the two opponents meet, Yuno wastes no time in summoning Bell, the wind spirit, and using arrows to attack with the technique known as swift white bow. This magic creates a huge bow along with massive arrows all comprised of wind.
Bell blows in the direction of the makeshift bow and the arrows launch towards their foes. Those arrows nullify another's magic and then split apart and continue onwards to attack the enemy. It's not over, but Yuno illustrates how he's more than capable of knocking down as many as it takes in the name of protecting the Clover Kingdom.
6 Heavenly Wind Ark
Wizards travel using various modes of transportation besides riding a broom around, such as with Klaus' steel chariot carriage. We also see this when Yuno shapes his wind into an ark to transport him and his fellow companions. This technique comes in handy after members of the Golden Dawn and the Black Bulls are caught deeply wounded inside a collapsing dungeon. It's here that Yuno shines as he gathers the knights onto the ark and navigates out of the dungeon proving that this form of transportation is invaluable in this world.
5 Liable Tempest
This wind spirit restraining magic is used when Yuno merges with Bell. Their combination allows Yuno to face powerful foes. When up against Licht, the leader of the elves, Asta and Yuno pull out all of the stops. In an attempt to restrain Licht, Yuno uses strings of condensed wind to wrap Licht up, much like how a spider wraps up its prey.
It grants Asta the chance to attack Licht, but this opponent is too clever for such a straightforward attack. Even though both parties leave with no sustainable damage, Yuno's technique played a huge roll in testing their opponent's abilities.
4 Sylph's Breath
This wind spirit magic is one that's built from Yuno's sixth sense, the one that is able to perceive the mana around him. When Yuno finally learns how to detect the flow of mana, his conviction to not lose against the enemy empowers him to go beyond his current limits. With the help of Bell, Yuno gathers and condenses the surrounding mana into a sphere. It then disperses into a vertical tornado that encapsulates his opponent. This moment marks the beginning of Yuno's transformation as he works towards more powerful spells.
3 Spirit Drive
During the Royal Knight Tournament when Yuno faces off against Rill, Aqua Deer's captain, is the first time we encounter Yuno's transformative technique where he combines with Bell. To begin with, Yuno tests out his lesser spells in order to test Rill's strengths and finds this captain is too formidable. If Yuno wishes to win, then he'll need to switch up his strategy.
When combined with Bell, Yuno is able to control and manipulate both his and Bell's magic. This spell is accompanied by a shift in appearance that makes Yuno look more like the wind spirit king than any simple mage.
2 Spirit Storm
Yuno's team during the Royal Knight Tournament is pitted against Aqua Deer's captain Rill. Both have tremendous magic that makes for an exhilarating display of power. Yuno begins with testing out his lower spells such as wind tornado and swift white bow, but find that they have little effect on this captain.
Spirit storm is not a spell to mess with. It's a concentration of wind that has the backing of the wind spirit's power behind it. This spell takes the form of a wind beam that's released from the palm of Yuno's hand and packs a significant punch.
1 Spirit of Zephyr
This spell is not one to take lightly. It relies on Yuno and Bell merging into spirit drive before Yuno is able to properly condense the mana around him. When this occurs, Yuno creates a sword comprised of the mana lingering in the air. It's a sword with the potential to defeat a devil.
As a pair, Asta and Yuno aim to defeat the devil. Yuno's sword emits a wind tornado that propels Asta towards the devil in order to cut him down. Both were able to level up in this battle claiming another step in their dreams to become the next Wizard King.
