Charmy Pappitson, a minor character on Black Clover, is best known for her voracious appetite. But her mixed dwarf-human heritage could mean she is more powerful than she seems.

Throughout the series, Charmy's main contribution has been comic relief and generously providing her teammates with food, both to make sure that they will have enough strength and Mana to fight and as a way to bring her friends together. Her magic allows her to summon sheep to do her bidding, and she mostly uses this power to have them cook delicious things to eat.

Charmy is a half-human, half-dwarf hybrid. Although she looks like a small harmless child, she is actually 19 years old. She also acts like a child in some ways because she has a one-track mind and is very driven by her emotions. She is always hungry and is extremely protective of her meals. She can almost always be found in the dining hall eating lots of food cooked by her sheep. She is a good friend and a loyal Black Bull team member, but food takes priority over everything else, even on missions.

Her obsession with food could be because her Mana is tied to food and how much she eats. Charmy normally uses two forms of magic: Creation and Cotton. But during a battle in the Shadow Palace with an Elf who is possessing Rill, it's revealed that she can also use Meal Magic. With Meal Magic, Charmy can consume the magic around her and use it to strengthen her own Mana, giving her virtually unlimited power.

As she consumes the magic from the creatures around her, she transforms into a more age-appropriate version of herself and one side of her grimoire turns black, signaling the use of Meal Magic. The hungry wolf gives a wink and a nod to the saying "Wolf in sheep's clothing," which is a good analogy for Charmy's hidden talents.

It is easy to underestimate Charmy because of her small size and her obsession with food, but her dual nature makes her one of the strongest magicians in the Clover kingdom. By giving audiences a glimpse into her potential and teasing her hybrid nature, the interest in her magic and her backstory as a character has been heightened. It is very likely that, at some point, she will step out of the background and into the spotlight.
