Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson offered a partial look at the superhero costume he'll sport in Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema's Black Adam.
On Instagram, Johnson shared a pair of photos from a recent board meeting for ZOA Energy, the energy drink brand he recently founded. In both images, the actor is decked out in a black cover-up, but in the second one, a portion of the costume's golden lightning bolt can be spotted at the neckline.
The closest fans have gotten to a look at the Black Adam costume so far comes from concept art released in August 2020 during DC FanDome. That artwork saw a digitally rendered Johnson sporting all black with Black Adam's quintessential golden lightning bolt glowing on his chest and his cape billowing behind him.
Filming on Black Adam began in early April 2021 and remains underway.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Pierce Brosnan, Quintessa Swindell, Pierce Brosnan, Mo Amer, Marwan Kenzari, Bodhi Sabongui, James Cusati-Moyer, Sarah Shahi and Uli Latukefu. The film arrives in theaters July 29, 2022.
