Two Hours of Black Adam's Justice

While a two-hour film length is very much within the average range, the film's stars previously teased the DCEU film has other records to set, such as the highest kill count of any superhero film. In a recent interview, actor Noah Centineo stated, "I've been told it has the highest body count of any superhero film so far. That may be not be a great thing, but that’s the idea. We question morality with this film, but we never side with either opinion."

Johnson himself has teased a brutal film in the way he described the antihero. He said, "What makes Black Adam unique and different is that he lives by a code. If you attempt to harm his people, his family, his country, or him, he will rip you in half... He will literally grab you by the neck, and then grab you by the thigh, and rip your body into two pieces." The trailers too have showcased a bit of Black Adam's destructive power and the willingness with which he inflicts it on the world.

As those clips have revealed, Black Adam follows Teth-Adam who, much like his comic book counterpart, rises from slavery to become the ruler of Kahndaq. After being imprisoned for 5,000 years, he rises and sets about introducing the world to his unique brand of justice, born from rage. Challenging his rule are the members of the Justice Society of America, including Hawkman, Atom Smasher, Cyclone and Doctor Fate, played by Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Quintessa Swindell and Pierce Brosnan, respectively.

Black Adam is already on track to be a massive success. In fact, recent reports indicate the upcoming Warner Bros. film will be Dwayne Johnson's biggest premiere to date where the box office is concerned, with an opening weekend grossing between $65 and $70 million domestically. This would also make the film's opening the tenth-biggest for the DCEU, surpassing 2018's Aquaman.

Black Adam is set to be released on Oct. 21, 2022.
