The Black Adam IMAX poster has warned fans that the upcoming DC Extended Universe film will take them on an electrifying turbulent immersive ride so big that only IMAX can handle it.

Dwayne Johnson looms large over the IMAX poster as the titular DC antihero. The Justice Society of America, consisting of Aldis Hodge's Carter Hall/Hawkman, Noah Centineo's Al Rothstein/Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell's Maxine Hunkel/Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan's Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate, are also featured prominently in the poster with Hawkman and Black Adam clashing above the film's logo.

BLACK ADAM Exclusive Art

Johnson has continuously promised fans that the DCEU will never be the same again after Black Adam with the titular antihero set to end the age of heroes in the shared universe. The actor, who has been attached to play Black Adam since 2014, has previously claimed that the character will introduce a new kind of anti-hero to the DCEU. "What makes Black Adam unique and different is that he lives by a code," Johnson said. "If you attempt to harm his people, his family, his country, or him, he will rip you in half. He will literally grab you by the neck, and then grab you by the thigh, and rip your body into two pieces."

Black Adam Brings Back Amanda Waller

Black Adam will feature the return of Viola Davis as A.R.G.U.S. officer Amanda Waller, which will be her fourth appearance in the DCEU after Suicide Squad (2016), The Suicide Squad (2021) and Peacemaker Season 1 (2022). Recent trailers have shown her to be working with the Justice Society in bringing down Black Adam. While it is currently unknown how she is connected to the JSA, Hodge has stated that the Justice Society will be unlike anything fans have seen onscreen before and will offer a "refreshing new look at what a superhero team is."

Black Adam will follow Teth Adam as he is bestowed the almighty powers of the gods in ancient Kahndaq and imprisoned just as quickly after using these powers for vengeance. When the DC film starts, nearly 5,000 years will have passed since his imprisonment and in that time, Black Adam has gone from man to myth to legend. Now released, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by the Justice Society.

The DCEU film also stars Sarah Shahi as freedom fighter Adrianna Tomaz/Isis, Marwan Kenzari as Intergang leader Ishmael Gregor/Sabbac, Mohammed Amer as Adrianna's brother Karim and Bodhi Sabongui as Amon. Black Adam opens in theaters on Oct. 21.
