Dwayne Johnson recently posted on social media that he's "blessed" to be going back to work, revealing the potential filming start date for DC's Black Adam in the process.

In an Instagram post, Johnson stated that Black Adam's filming will begin in the spring and its filming location is within the state of Georgia.

Black Adam originally planned for a Dec. 22, 2021 release date, but Warner Bros. shifted the film's release due to studio production delays from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and has yet to announce a new release date. The film's release date was pushed along with other DC Extended Universe films including, The BatmanFlash and Shazam!: Fury of the Gods. 

Although Black Adam's plot synopsis is still kept under wraps, Hiram Garcia -- the president of the production company Seven Bucks Productions and a producer on Black Adam -- revealed that "The hierarchy of the power in the DC Universe is going to change because when Black Adam arrives... Everyone needs to watch out because he’s going to change the game."

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge and Sarah Shahi. The cast of Black Adam is filled out with the Justice Society of America, with Noah Centineo playing Atom Smasher and Aldis Hodge portraying their leader, Hawkman. Doctor Fate and Cyclone, two other Justice Society members appearing in Black Adam, have yet to be cast. Shahi's role is currently unknown, but sources believe she'll play the DC hero, Isis. The film currently does not have a release date.
