Black Adam has been in the works for several years now and audiences have eagerly awaited reports, photos or anything to give them some idea of what to expect from the titular antihero's story. Thankfully, with this year's DC FanDome on the way, it appears Warner Bros.' project is gearing up to reveal all the exciting details.

A recently revealed image from the set of Black Adam offers a look at the forming Justice Society of America. Specifically, it provides a first look at actor Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, standing in the background. While the image focus is on the clapper board, Swindell's costume is just clear enough to give fans a good idea of what it looks like.

Swindell's casting was announced in December 2020. Also known as Maxine Hunkell, Cyclone is the granddaughter of the original robotic Red Tornado and an original member of the Justice Society of America. After being kidnapped as a baby by Red Tornado's creator, Hunkell was injected with nanotech that gave her the ability to fly, manipulate the air and control sound. While little is known about what Black Adam has in store for Cyclone, early reports indicated that she would have an important role to play.

Joining Swindell will be Pierce Brosnan, who was confirmed to be playing Doctor Fate early this year. Brosnan has not revealed much about his character's depiction in the film, only suggesting that Doctor Fate's costume will be, in large part, CGI. Other members of the film's JSA include Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman. Images of Hodge's costume recently leaked, showcasing what appeared to be a comic-accurate look. Johnson has said in the past that Hawkman is a critical leading role for the film.

More details are likely to come at DC FanDome on Saturday, Oct. 16, as suggested by a trailer for the event. While the clip only appeared to feature artwork and a blink-and-you-miss-it shot of Johnson as Black Adam, it did tease huge announcements for a number of DC-related projects, which might mean a full-length trailer for the upcoming film.

Black Adam has been in the development for over a decade, but was shot to the top of Warner Bros.' priority films after 2019's Shazam! film became a critical and financial success. Production on Black Adam was originally scheduled to begin in July 2020, but was forced to be delayed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Filming started in April this year and completed in July. According to producer Hiram Garcia, the depiction of Black Adam's powers used never-before-seen technology -- specifically, Black Adam's ability to fly.
