Marwan Kenzari, who played Jafar in Disney's live-action Aladdin, has joined Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema's Black Adam.

According to THR, Kenzari's role is being kept under wraps.

Kenzari joins the likes of Aldis Hodge's Hawkman, Noah Centineo's Atom Smasher and Quintessa Swindell's Cyclone, as well as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's eponymous antihero Black Adam.

Speaking of Johnson, the actor wasted little time welcoming Kenzari to the cast, tweeting, "Welcome Marwan Kenzari to Black Adam. He brings a real weight and skill and will be that force our story needs."

In addition to bringing Jafar to life in Aladdin, Kenzari was one of the breakout stars of Netflix's The Old Guard, which saw him play Joe in the comic book adaptation. He's also featured in Murder on the Orient Express, 2017's The Mummy, 2016's Ben-Hur and more.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell,  Marwan Kenzari and Sarah Shahi. The film has yet to receive a release date.
