The film's current title stands as Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn. Earlier reports said the new title, Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, gives the spotlight Harley Quinn, the movie's main protagonist. The news broke less than a week after the film's debut with a disappointing opening weekend. Birds of Prey earned $33.3 million in the U.S., which is nearly $20 million below projections.

Directed by Cathy Yan from a script by Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) stars Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ewan McGregor, Ella Jay Basco, Steven Williams, Derek Wilson, Dana Lee, Francois Chau, Charlene Amoia, Chris Messina and Matthew Willig. The film is now playing in theaters.
