Margot Robbie's return to the DCEU as Harley Quinn is officially confirmed with the planned Birds of Prey film receiving its official release date.

The upcoming superhero film will open in theaters everywhere on February 7, 2020 as the production has been actively involved in casting process for its leads to star alongside Robbie. The film is expected to begin principal photography in early 2019.

Warner Bros. had originally scheduled an unannounced DC film to be released on February 14, 2020 but, after Bond 25 pushing back its release to that date last week, the Birds of Prey announcement confirms the February 2020 release to feature the comic book superteam while moving its opening ahead by a full week to avoid splitting potential audiences over Valentine's Day weekend.

With filming projected to begin in the next four months, a major casting decision regarding for the film's reported main characters including Barbara Gordon, Black Canary, Huntress, Renee Montoya, Cassandra Cain, and the villainous Black Mask should be expected shortly.

Directed by Cathy Yan from a script by Christina Hodgson, Birds of Prey stars Margot Robbie. It is scheduled to be released on February 7, 2020.
