The DC Universe has a massive number of memorable characters, but obviously not all of them can appear in a single film. Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will be the cinematic premiere for a number of characters, including Black Canary, Huntress, Black Mask and Cassandra Cain, but there are still a lot of DC characters out there for them to meet.

Birds of Prey stars Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell and Mary Elizabeth Winstead spoke with CBR and other media outlets in Hollywood, revealing which other DC characters they'd love to see interact with future films.

Margot Robbie has been heavily invested in Harley Quinn's cinematic appearances, even serving as a producer for Birds of Prey. However, her connection with fellow Batman enemy Poison Ivy hasn't featured in the recent DC films. The pair have often been established as close friends, with some versions of the relationship even being portrayed as being romantic. "I've been pushing a Poison Ivy reunion for a long time," Robbie explained. "I've been really working that angle for a long time. Because obviously Ivy and Harley have such an incredible relationship, so I would love to explore that."

Jurnee Smollett-Bell, who plays Black Canary in the film, has a very specific idea of who she wants to see come to the big screen. "The obvious one is Oracle because she's such an integral part of the Birds of Prey." After being paralyzed by the Joker during Batman: The Killing Joke, Barbara Gordon reinvented herself, becoming an information broker for the superhero community. She eventually became close friends with Black Canary and the pair became the founding members of the comics version of Birds of Prey. Smollett-Bell's co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead agreed her about the potential impact of seeing Barbara come to the big screen. "That would be amazing to see how that unfolds," she said.

In addition to Oracle, Mary Elizabeth Winstead wants other members of the Batman family. Winstead said, "I would love to be against, for us to be a part of the Batman universe. I know our version of Helena isn't the version of Helena who's related to Batman," referring to the pre-Crisis Huntress, who was was actually the daughter of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle. "But still being a part of that universe... the new Catwoman, I think is amazing."

Referring to the upcoming DC film The Batman, Winstead and the other stars were quick to share their excitement for Zoe Kravitz to take on the role of Catwoman. "I think that's going to be really exciting," Winstead said. "I was really into the Michelle Pfeiffer version, but now I'm really really into the Zoe Kravitz version, I'm so excited... That would be amazing, so cool to see how all those characters collide." Margot Robbie added,"I have such a girl crush on her" in reference to Kravitz.

Directed by Cathy Yan from a script by Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) stars Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ewan McGregor, Ella Jay Basco, Steven Williams, Derek Wilson, Dana Lee, Francois Chau, Charlene Amoia, Chris Messina and Matthew Willig. The film opens Feb. 7.
