According to Birds of Prey star Margot Robbie, her version of Harley Quinn would drive Joaquin Phoenix's Joker insane.

During an interview with Capital FM, Robbie was asked if she could ever see her Quinn "getting together" with Phoenix's Joker. "I think they exist in two very different worlds," she said. "Todd Phillips's Gotham and this Gotham... very different. I don't know how you'd bridge that gap." She went on to describe a hypothetical scenario between the two characters, saying, "God, she'd drive him insane. She'd be on the other side of the fridge, like 'Here.' 'J, Puddin', whatcha doin?'"

While 2016's Suicide Squad showed Robbie's Harley Quinn in a relationship with Jared Leto's Joker, the Clown Prince of Crime will supposedly not appear in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

Harley Quinn will instead be pitted against Roman Sionis/Black Mask, as portrayed by Ewan McGregor, and his right-hand man Victor Zsasz, played by Chris Messina.
