While Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) may not have lit up the global box office, fans will get the chance to enjoy the film at home earlier than expected.

According to preorder pages for the film's digital HD release, the film is slated to be available on Tuesday, March 24. This is a little over a month since the film's wide theatrical release on Feb. 7. While the reason for the early release has not been officially confirmed by Warner Bros., the home video release date may have been moved up in response to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak impacting cinemas worldwide that have seen other studios employ similar release strategies. The new date was further confirmed by other home video release sites, including Fandango.

Director Cathy Yan separately expressed an interest in moving up the home video release date for Birds of Prey. Earlier this month, the home video release art for the film was unveiled.

Birds of Prey earned $199.1 million at the worldwide box office on a reported production budget of $82 million. Despite this, the film received a largely positive critical response, currently featuring a 78% professional critics' score on review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes.
