Billy on the Street is back for the first time in three years.

Host and comedian Billy Eichner announced the show's return on Twitter, which will be the first episode of the popular interview series since 2019. As part of the promotion for Eichner's upcoming romantic comedy, Bros, his special guest will be fan-favorite Paul Rudd, who last appeared on the show's third season in 2014. The new episode will be available online on Sept. 20.

Created by Eichner, Billy on the Street ran for 54 episodes from 2011 to 2017, originally airing on Fuse before making the transition to TruTV. A comedy game show, the series consisted of Eichner, and often a guest, interviewing pedestrians on the streets of New York City about popular culture, with recurring games including "For a Dollar" and "Quizzed in the Face."

Eichner's announcement for the upcoming episode of Billy on the Street featured a photo of himself and Rudd donning t-shirts with the logo for Universal Studios' Bros. Directed by Nicholas Stoller and co-written by Stoller and Eichner, Bros is the first major studio film to feature an entire openly LGBTQ+ cast. The story follows Bobby Lieber, played by Eichner, a museum curator in New York who is hired to write a rom-com about a gay couple. In the process of writing, he meets and falls in love with Aaron, played by Luke Macfarlane. The film is also produced by Judd Apatow, who has produced films such as 2011's Bridesmaids and Trainwreck in 2015.

"It’s still incredibly exciting to me — and a real sign of progress — that the same studio making movies like Jurassic World and The Fast and the Furious is also releasing this R-rated gay rom with an all LGBTQ+ cast, and with as much passion and enthusiasm as they release those other films," Eichner wrote in a letter accompanying the first trailer for Bros. "I wish we had a movie like Bros when I was a kid, but I’m so excited and proud that this day has finally come!" Along with Eichner and Macfarlane, Bros also stars Bowen Yang, Harvey Fierstein, Ts Madison, Monica Raymund, Guillermo Díaz, Guy Branum, Amanda Bearse and Jim Rash.

As for Rudd, the actor is set to reprise his Marvel Cinematic Universe role as Scott Lang/Ant-Man in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, set to release in theaters on Feb. 17, 2023. Rudd also recently appeared in the Season 2 finale of Only Murders in the Building and has officially joined the cast for Season 3 of the Hulu series.

Bros hits theaters on Sept. 30.
