The first official stills from Bill & Ted Face the Music have been released, showing the fan-favorite rockers contending with middle age and parenthood, along with a surprise reunion with Death himself.
In addition to the return of Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter in their iconic roles, the photos feature Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine as the duo's teenage daughters, along with a surprise appearance from Kid Cudi as a new character... himself.
William Sadler similarly reprises his role as Death, the former bandmate of the pair who befriended them after the two bested him in a variety of games in exchange for their souls.
Taking place decades after the events of Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, the upcoming sequel has the lifelong friends realize they have not yet saved humanity with their rock music as prophesied, leading them on a new adventure where they encounter a host of new historical figures and music legends. Principal photography on the film wrapped this summer.
Directed by Dean Parisot and written by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, Bill & Ted Face The Music stars Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, Anthony Carrigan, Kid Cudi, Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving. The film arrives in theaters on Aug. 21, 2020.
