As principal photography on Bill & Ted Face the Music prepares to begin next month, the eagerly anticipated sequel has officially cast the eponymous duo's wives.

Jayma Mays (Glee) will appear opposite Alex Winter as Bill's wife Princess Joanna, while Erinn Hayes (Children's Hospital) will appear opposite Keanu Reeves as Ted's wife Princess Elizabeth.

Both characters first appeared in 1989's Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure as medieval princesses who were rescued by the time-traveling teenagers and would go on to become their wives. Diane Franklin originally portrayed Joanna while Kimberley LaBelle portrayed Elizabeth, with both actresses replaced by Sarah Trigger and Annette Azcuy, respectively, in 1991's Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.

Mays and Hayes join Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine, who will portray their respective daughters, Thea and Billie, in the upcoming sequel. While plot details are still under wraps, the film will have Bill and Ted realize they have not yet lived up to their destiny of writing a song to save the universe as they enter middle age.
