Comic artist Bill Sienkiewicz has offered his very sentimental tribute to the late Stan Lee, one which he gave to the legend for his 95th birthday last year.RELATED: Roy Thomas Reflects on Stan Lee's Final Days"The legendary Stan Lee -- Rest In Peace (95th birthday portrait) #RipStanLee #StanLeeRIP #StanLee," Sienkiewicz tweeted, along with the birthday-themed image, cake included, featuring Lee in a mashup that depicts him wearing the signature items of some of Marvel's most popular heroes.

Lee, with his trademark glowing smile, can be seen wearing the helmet of Thor, which has a Captain America star on it, Doctor Strange's cloak and the magical Eye of Agamotto, as well as Spider-Man's gloves; all characters he co-created at the publisher, with the exception of Cap.

Sienkiewicz has long considered Lee a mentor and close friend, having becoming famous at Marvel for working on another character Lee co-created, Daredevil. He's also worked on Lee-related characters like Fantastic Four and Spider-Man, so his reverence for the characters and their creator runs deep, which he's always made known on Twitter by constantly showering the legend with praises. Well, one more plaudit certainly won't hurt, especially when it's as touching and nostalgic as this.
