Sienkiewicz is known for his photo-realistic and painted art style, which were a rarity in comics at the time. He is considered a revolutionary artist by many for his work at Marvel in the '80s, where he gained notoriety working on titles such as New Mutants and Moon Knight. Sienkiewicz is regarded as helping the latter character be seen as much more than just a Batman-inspired vigilante. He also a collaborator with Frank Miller on Elektra: Assassin, which came at the height of his popularity working on Daredevil related projects.

The Elektra original handpainted art is available for auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Book Industry Charitable Foundation.
