Bill Paxton Joins Daniel Radcliffe in BBC's 'Grand Theft Auto'

Bill Paxton will star opposite Daniel Radcliffe in "Grand Theft Auto," the BBC Films docudrama about the story behind the rise of Rockstar Games' hit franchise.

According to Deadline, Paxton will play Jack Thompson, the Florida lawyer who waged a campaign against depictions of sex and violence against video games throughout the 2000s, singling out the "Grand Theft Auto" series as well as other Rockstar titles like "Bully" and "Manhunt."

Radcliffe is set to star as Rockstar co-founder Sam Houser in the adaptation of David Kushner’s book “Jacked: The Outlaw Story of ‘Grand Theft Auto.'” Up-and-coming director Owen Harris (“Misfits,” “Black Mirror”) will helm the project.

Filming begins next week in South Africa.
