We currently live in a magical time. Simply uttering the name "Kyle" or "Karen" evokes a very specific image and concept in one's mind, such as holes punched through drywall and the desire to speak to one's manger. But beyond the "Kyles," "Karens," and "Stacys" stands one that has transcended the collective conscious of society and has taken on an entire identity of its own in the realm of memes: Chad. We all know "Chad." He whose energy and raw power shakes a mere mortal via a myriad of superiorities. When you walk, the floor crumbles beneath his foot. When you open a door, he suplexes it off its hinges. When performing any possible action, Chad turns it up to eleven.

Without further ado, we present the 10 biggest Chads in anime. Potential spoilers ahead.

10 Younger Toguro - Yu Yu Hakusho

For a lack of a better term, the physique of Yu Yu Hakusho's Younger Toguro is comparable to an upside-down triangle. The primary antagonist of the Dark Tournament arc of the series, Toguro is introduced as a seemingly unstoppable killing machine who is essentially better than the series protagonist, Yusuke. However, this character truly reaches Chad status when he reveals that the entire time that the viewer has been watching him steamroll his opponents, Toguro is only using a minuscule fraction of his power. The fact alone that this absolute unit of a man routinely is able to punch monstrous demons in half without even trying cements Younger Toguro on this list.

9 Dio Brando - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

Dio Brando is the embodiment of the very concept of superiority. Across the entire first arc of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Dio Brando makes it his mission statement to ruin the existence of one Jonathan Joestar. Dio goes as far as to intentionally inflict himself with vampirism, granting himself with a myriad of powers. As if that isn't enough, once the show's third part comes around and introduces the concept of Stands, as a complete Chad, Dio Brando just so happens to be bestowed with one of the most powerful and broken Stands in the entire series.

8 Alex Louis Armstrong - Fullmetal Alchemist

In the world of Fullmetal Alchemist, many utilize the powers of alchemy and equivalent exchange in order to perform various fists. Some are able to channel fire. Other deal with the inner machinations of organic matter.

Alex Louis Armstrong prefers a different approach, opting to show off his perfectly sculpted pecks and punch away his problems. Even when Armstrong opts to use the power of alchemy, he utilizes a technique in which he literally punches objects into different forms and material. If this doesn't exude an excessive amount of "Chad Energy," we don't know what does.

7 Gary Oak - Pokémon

The region of Kanto in the universe of Pokémon is home to eight gyms in which trainers can compete to earn badges. Despite this, Gary Oak precedes to earn ten badges, all at a rate before Ash Ketchum is able to collect the eight required to enter the Pokémon League. Where did Gary get these extra badges?

How did accrue them so quickly? And how does this ten-year-old have his own cheerleaders? While one could spend millennia contemplating the answers to these questions, the explanation of such phenomena is rather simple: Gary Oak is an enormous Chad.

6 Bobobo - Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo

The main cast of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.

Bobobo of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is a jacked, blonde afro-sporting, sunglasses donning individual who fights by extending and controlling his nose-hairs. Yes, you read that correctly. That is real. That is also the description of the most "Chad-ly" main protagonist that an anime will ever have in the history of the medium. It should be noted, that while Bobobo has the well-defined build comparable to that of a pro wrestler, due to the fashion in which he fights, he doesn't even need to stay in shape. That's a conscious choice for this Chad of a protagonist.

5 The Body Improvement Club - Mob Psycho 100

In a series full of psychic powers and various spirits, the Body Improvement Club is a unique case. While many characters in Mob Psycho 100 possess psychic abilities that they use to fight one and other, The Body Improvement Club stands out as normal, powerless human who simply enjoy spending all of their time improving their bodies. These boys are not the stereotypical bully-jocks that one would expect them to be, each being sincere and encouraging towards the series protagonist, Mob throughout the entire series. Furthermore, these kids are more shredded than any mortal man should dream to be, and they're only in middle school.

4 Kamina - Gurren Laggan

While not as much of an external Chad like many other entrants on this list, Kamina's essence and inner quintessence are more Chad-like than most will every even hope to be. We are currently discussing a man who after forcibly procuring a large mech suit (or Gunman if we're being specific), makes his first course of action putting a mammoth pair of sunglasses on the aforementioned robot.

3 Ira Gamagōri - Kill La Kill

Ira Gamagori Kill La Kill

From the very first moment Ira Gamaōri appears on screen, the Chad energy he emits is off the charts. A man whose scale and proportioning seems to know no limit, this mammoth individual makes an impact in his first scene, breaking through a wall, leaping out of a window (laughing all the way), and causing an astronomical amount of property damage just to discipline a single student of Shujin Academy.

2 Killer B - Naruto

Most individuals can agree that characters in anime who wield swords tend to be some of the coolest. So with this logic, it would make sense that a character who wields two swords at the same time would be cooler than a character who only wields one. Despite this Killer B doesn't just go one step beyond- he goes six more. This is a ninja who wields eight swords. Simultaneously. At the same time. This statement alone cements Killer B in the hypothetical "Hall of Chads," but that isn't all. This man has a variety of talents which includes being a rapper in addition to a ninja. Way to one-up everyone else, Killer B.

1 Broly - Dragon Ball Z

Broly is the absolute epitome of a Chad. To say that this mountain of a man is strong would be the biggest understatement imaginable. We are currently talking about a man who casually obliterates entire planets with a flick of the wrist, and has tossed around multiple Super Saiyans like rag dolls on numerous occasions. While his newest incarnation has been significantly altered in both design and backstory, the character's initial iteration was a nearly intelligible behemoth who could barely say anything other than "Kakarot," as he obliterates anything and everything in his path. Even once he is defeated, he resurfaces. Twice.
