Hiro and Baymax grapple with Baron Von Steamer's booby traps -- "old-timey booby-trapped, but still ... booby-trapped" -- in the first clip from Disney XD's Big Hero 6: The Series.

Premiered this afternoon at Comic-Con International in San Diego, the scene catches up with the two heroes in an old subway tunnel that doubles as the lair of their foe, who's diabolical yet curiously fond of monograms.

Picking up immediately following the events of Disney's Academy Award-winning 2014 film (itself loosely based on Marvel Comics' Sunfire and Big Hero 6), the animated series continues the adventures of Hiro Hamada, the 14-year-old orphaned tech genius, and Baymax, his inflatable healthcare robot.

As the new kid at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, Hiro faces daunting academic challenges at the prestigious “nerd school” and the social trials of being the “little man on campus.” Luckily, Hiro has his brains, his ingenuity and his best friend bot to help him find his way. But it’s off campus where things get dangerous. Along with neat freak Wasabi, bubbly mad scientist Honey Lemon, fanboy Fred and no nonsense Go Go, the friends form an unlikely, but awesome super hero team – Big Hero 6. Together they face madness and mayhem as a colorful array of science-enhanced villains threaten San Fransokyo.

Already renewed for its second season, Big Hero 6: The Series premieres this fall on Disney XD, with original voice actors Ryan Potter (Hiro), Scott Adsit (Baymax), Jamie Chung (GoGo), Genesis Rodriguez (Honey Lemon), Alan Tudyk (Alistair Krei), May Rudolph (Aunt Cass), David Shaughnessy (Heathcliff) and Stan Lee (Fred’s dad).
