On CBS's hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory, all of the main characters found love over time -- almost. After years of push and pull, Leonard and Penny finally got hitched, Howard found his match in Bernadette, and Sheldon Cooper was made more of a human thanks to his relationship with Amy Farrah Fowler. All three of these couples found their happy endings, but that still leaves poor Raj as the lone lonely soul.

Over the years, the hopelessly romantic Raj has spent countless episodes searching for his future wife. Thankfully, the series' producers assured viewers that his search will finally come to an end in The Big Bang Theory's twelfth and final season, where he will finally find love. When the season arrived, Raj quickly met Anu who is, as best we can tell, the woman who will end up becoming his significant other.

But what if this is simply a misdirect? What if Raj won't end up with Anu at all, but someone we met in the Season 12 premiere?

As viewers might recall, in the Season 12 premiere, "The Conjugal Configuration," Raj's job as an astrophysicist led him to be a guest on a local news show to talk about an upcoming meteor shower. On the show, Raj was interviewed by the weather girl before starting a feud with celebrity scientist Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Here's where things could potentially get interesting: Rather than an unknown actor, the Channel 3 news weather girl was played by Ciara Renée, most famous for playing Hawkgirl in the Arrowverse series Legends of Tomorrow.

Her role was brief, but attention was called to her beauty by Raj's friend Howard, who was watching the interview live on television. Granted, this could simply be a cameo appearance, but what if there's more to it than that? After all, it seems a bit odd to have Renée, who was the star of a prominent TV series, appear for only a few seconds with nary a mention of her role prior to the episode, or even after it aired. What if Renée was discreetly planted in the first episode of the season with the intent to have her return in the series' final stretch of episodes?

Don't get us wrong -- we have nothing against Anu, and we believe that she'd make a great companion for Raj. But here's the thing: Raj has always been a hopeless romantic who believes in these great, epic tales of love. Anu's introduction on the series came after a discouraged Raj reached out to his father to arrange a marriage for him. Even though Anu turned out to be quite a catch for Raj, it's just not the meet-cute the character has longed for.

What's more, this isn't the first time that Raj tried his hand at an arranged marriage. He once met a potential wife thanks to his parents in the Season 1 episode "The Grasshopper Experiment," and in the Season 5 episode "The Transporter Malfunction," but neither worked out. While a case could be made for a "third time's the charm" scenario, an arranged marriage is far from the perfect way for Raj to meet his future wife. And if anyone is deserving of a perfect love story, it's Raj.

His job as an astrophysicist could easily take him back to Channel 3 news in the series' upcoming episodes, where he could establish a true connection with the weather girl. Or, perhaps, after a break up with Anu, his best friend Howard could urge him to ask out the beautiful weather girl from the news show he was on.

No matter what happens, Raj will find love. And maybe it already happened... but he just doesn't know it yet.

The Big Bang Theory returns with all-new episodes March 7, and will conclude with a two-part series finale that is expected to air sometime in May. The series stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Mayim Bialik, Kunal Nayyar, Simon Helberg and Melissa Rauch.
