Dynamite Entertainment and Archie Comics are joining forces in May for Red Sonja and Vampirella Meet Betty and Veronica, a new crossover from writer Amy Chu (Poison Ivy, Red Sonja) and artist Maria Laura Sanapo (DC Comics Bombshells, Sheena), which will see Dynamite's flagship characters rubbing paying a visit to Riverdale to meet Archie's leading ladies.

CBR has an exclusive preview of the artists providing variant covers for the crossover, and it's a star-studded list including Fay Dalton (James Bond: Casino Royale), Francesco Francavilla (Afterlife with Archie), Robert Hack (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Paulina Ganucheau (Mother Panic), Laura Braga (Blossoms 666) and Dan Parent (Veronica).

Fay's cover places the four stars in a locker room with Betty and Veronica donning cheerleading outfits, whereas Red Sonja and Vampirella look ready to play some football; Francavilla sticks to his Afterlife roots with a horror-inspired cover that also displays ghoulish skulls; Hack's cover recreates an old movie poster, with the headline "Riverdale Runs Red In a Rampage of Bloody Horror!" across the top and creator credits at the bottom; Betty, Veronica, Red Sonja and Vampirella are literally "Squad Goals" on the Ganucheau cover; Braga has the women looking determined and fierce on her cover; and Parent's cover takes the headliners surfing.

The tone of the crossover will mix Archie's playful suburbia vibes with a murder mystery similar to The CW's Riverdale, along with a dash of Dynamite's two lethal fish out of water.

"Like so many comic book fans, Archie was a constant favorite as a youngster," Dynamite Entertainment founder and CEO Nick Barrucci said. "I've been so impressed with how they've taken the publishing to a new level in recent years with diverse stories like the Archie Horror line and the New Riverdale relaunch. And like so many others, I'm glued to my TV watching Riverdale. I just knew we had to do this crossover for the fans!"
