If you thought you knew Saul, it turns out you didn't know jack — or Jimmy, as it were.
During the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, AMC revealed key details behind Better Call Saul, the upcoming Breaking Bad spinoff that sees Bob Odenkirk back in action as criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. Except his name isn't actually Saul Goodman — not yet, at least.
AMC describes the series as follows:
“The series is set six years before Saul Goodman meets Walter White. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and, often, against Jimmy, is ‘fixer’ Mike Ehrmantraut, a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy’s transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts ‘criminal’ in ‘Criminal lawyer.'"
Based on the description, it sounds like it could be a while before we start referring to Saul as Saul — something that might be a little bit jarring for everyone who watched Breaking Bad.

Better Call Saul premieres in 2015, with a second season already officially in the works.
