Better Call Saul and Nobody star Bob Odenkirk revealed that he "wants to do more action."

According to Deadline, Odenkirk told audiences during a Venice Film Festival masterclass that if things go smoothly, they could expect more action from him. "I still train multiple times a week, and if I get my way, you're going to see me doing more action," the actor said. "I found the action sequences a great deal of fun and close to doing sketch comedy." He also revealed his love for early Jackie Chan films with humorous elements and his hope to "get that in the future."

In the same interview, Odenkirk explained how his Nobody and Better Call Saul roles were connected. "I was very surprised by Nobody," he admitted. "I had initiated that project because I had a feeling that the character I was developing in Better Call Saul was the kind of character you see in an action film. He has earnest desires, and he was willing to sacrifice himself."

Released in 2021, Nobody follows a seemingly ordinary family man, Hutch Mansell, on a journey of rage and revenge, regaining his former identity as a trained assassin to defend his family. Earlier this month, Nobody producer David Leitch confirmed that a sequel is currently at work. The upcoming sequel will also see most of the original cast reprising their roles.

Speaking about playing the criminal mind and lawyer Saul Goodman in AMC's hit series Better Call Saul, which recently wrapped its sixth and final section, the actor said that he had "very mixed feelings." The actor explained that, "We get into this business most of us because we want to play a variety of stories. It's one of the joys. It was a long time to play one guy and portray his psyche. We did have a very vast array of emotions and experiences, so there was a great variety."

From Breaking Bad to Better Call Saul, Odenkirk spoke about how playing Saul Goodman influenced his life both professionally and personally. "I'm gonna miss the good parts of that guy and the friendships with the actors," he said. "We even lived together, and that'll be the role I'll be known for my whole life and I'm proud of that."

Better Call Saul is available to stream on Netflix. Nobody is available via HBO Max.
