Virgos can seem a little bit prim and proper. They’re very interested in doing things the right way and in everyone being polite to each other. They like animals and being out in nature, and they’re definitely bookworms. But on the other hand, they can be a bit stubborn, and they don’t like asking for help. They definitely don’t like situations where they’re the center of attention.

So what kind of anime series would a person like this want to watch? Here are five anime series that a Virgo would probably be really into and five anime series that they would probably dislike.

10 Love: Nagi-Asu: A Lull In The Sea

Nagi-Asu is a sweet, heartfelt anime about human beings who live on the ocean floor but must come to the surface to continue their schooling. It’s a fun story of learning new ways of living and experiencing new kinds of relationships, while also having lovely water-oriented animation to go along with the ocean themes.

9 Hate: RobiHachi

RobiHachi is a pretty goofy anime, featuring a Cowboy Bebop-esque world in which humans live both on Earth and on other planets around the solar system. The main characters find themselves on the run from a loan shark who pursues them across the galaxy, where they meet weird aliens and weirder communities. The characters aren’t particularly nice to each other, and a Virgo might get pretty tired of them each griping about the other’s behavior.

8 Love: Wolf’s Rain

Wolf’s Rain is exactly the kind of series a Virgo would be interested in. In the story, a legend exists that says that at the end of the world, a place called Paradise will appear, but only wolves will be able to find it. Wolves are thought to be extinct, but they continue to survive in the world by casting illusions over themselves which make them look like humans. The series’ focus on nature and the place of humans in it will definitely be a good Virgo choice.

7 Hate: Devilman Crybaby

Akira and Ryo from Devilman Crybaby

Devilman Crybaby is a really interesting series which has a lot of unique animation and a bizarre premise. The series follows a young man who is part devil, as he uses the powers this gives him to try to do good in the world, while not always succeeding.

Virgos would likely be put off by the constant betrayals and acts of unkindness that repeatedly happen in the series, which has very few really likable characters.

6 Love: One Punch Man

Saitama _ One Punch Man

One Punch Man is a story about an incredibly strong man who has become a hero for fun and who is constantly looking for an opponent that would actually offer him a challenge, instead of being beaten in one punch. Saitama isn’t interested in being in the spotlight, which is the same way Virgos feel, and they have the added similarities of not necessarily needing to be recognized for the things they’ve accomplished, instead feeling satisfied with the accomplishment itself.

5 Hate: Psycho-Pass

Psycho-Pass is definitely a series that would make Virgos uncomfortable. Psycho-Pass is a series that takes place in a dystopian world in which a machine called the Sibyl System can judge a person’s aura to decide whether they are a criminal or have the potential to become one. This kind of world would not be a good space for the mild-mannered and sometimes anxious Virgo, and they likely wouldn’t want to deal with the stress of watching characters deal with the reality in it.

4 Love: Ascendance Of A Bookworm

Ascendance of a Bookworm is absolutely the perfect series for a Virgo. Virgos love to read and often find themselves getting lost in the realms of fiction. The entire series of Ascendance is about a young girl who wishes she could go somewhere where she didn’t have to do anything and could spend all her time reading.

Her wish comes through in the usual way, with caveats, when she finds herself in a land and a time in which girls aren’t allowed to read and has to deal with this new status quo.

3 Hate: Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex

Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex

Ghost in the Shell takes place in a futuristic Tokyo which is pretty much devoid of color and any small amount of access to nature. The cyberpunk series exists mostly in a series of grays and blues, and it’s a pretty dismal world to live in. Virgos would probably have a difficult time with the dystopian nature of the world and the way humans are no longer just human but are also actually attached to their electronics through cybernetics.

2 Love: Food Wars

Food Wars Volume 36 cover

Virgos really enjoy eating healthy, fresh foods. So a series like Food Wars would probably be a pretty interesting watch for them. The series is competition-focused, with the students at the culinary high school facing off against each other in an effort to become the best chefs in the school. But along the way, they’re constantly learning new ways to prepare fresh ingredients and to create delicious dishes. This information would probably be very interesting to the Virgo interested in food.

1 Hate: Kakegurui

The cast of Kakegurui.

Kakegurui is in a lot of ways the exact opposite kind of series from Food Wars. Food Wars for the most part sees these high school students becoming better chefs, and better friends, through some healthy and intense competition. But Kakegurui brings the competition in a different and more depraved way, with the students participating in high stakes gambling and being rewarded for doing well at it. The lack of morality and the way the students treat each other in this series would probably rub a Virgo the wrong way.
