Satoru has a dual personality. While he seems playful and easygoing with his students and colleagues, he can be crude and arrogant with curses and his superiors. On top of his lovable personality, Satoru Gojo is one of the most powerful jujutsu sorcerers in the world, and should never be trifled with.

10 Satoru Wants To Reform The Jujutsu World

Gojo Gives A Thumbs Up

At first, some fans were confused about why exactly Satoru went into teaching. He certainly doesn't seem like the most responsible teacher, and even his students occasionally get annoyed by his flighty behavior. However, Satoru went into teaching with great hopes.

Satoru's goal as a teacher is to ultimately reform the world of jujutsu. To do this, he needs to start from the bottom up. Education is the best way of improving the jujutsu industry. In the end, Satoru hopes that the younger generation of sorcerers he's brought up will be able to stand on equal footing with him as the strongest sorcerers on the planet.

9 Satoru Will Do Whatever It Takes To Win

Gojo approaches Toji after their first fight in Jujutsu Kaisen.

During battles, Satoru becomes unusually serious and during these moments his determination knows no bounds. Make no mistake, Satoru Gojo will do whatever it takes to win. During times of crisis, he becomes a ruthless loose cannon.

These traits were on display during his fight against Toji Fushiguro. When this scene gets animated, it will come as a major shock to fans who have only seen Satoru's friendly, easy-going demeanor in the anime. After Satoru's first defeat at Toji's hands, he came back with a roaring vengeance.

8 Satoru Has An Arsenal Of Flashy Techniques

Since Satoru is arguably the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, it's not surprising that his techniques are powerful and flashy. He has an arsenal of dazzling abilities that can defeat several opponents in an instant, and he has mastered harnessing his cursed energy. He's also a quick learner, as shown when he learned how to utilize reverse cursed energy after fighting Toji.

Limitless, one of his innate techniques, gives Satoru complete control over cursed energy at a fundamental level. Limitless has three branches, but his Hollow Technique: Purple combines them all into one. Additionally, Satoru hides his gorgeous blue eye in the anime behind a blindfold because of his Six Eyes, which allow him to see the world in terms of precisely measured cursed energy.

7 Satoru's Attitude Is His Greatest Weapon

Silly Gojo

Satoru's nonchalant demeanor is ultimately his greatest weapon. The people closest to him, like Suguru, understand the full capabilities of his power. Suguru even admitted that Satoru has enough cursed energy to destroy humanity 0n a whim if he wants to.

However, Satoru's greatest weapon is ultimately his carefree attitude. He doesn't just use his apparent disaffection to agitate the higher-ups in his organization. On its own, the way Satoru doesn't seem to care about his foes is enough to drive them into making mistakes.

6 Satoru's Unpredictability Makes Him Hard For Enemies To Read

Some characters disregard Satoru's behavior as flighty and irresponsible, but it's more accurate to say his behavior is unpredictable. Keeping his enemies guessing is yet another one of his greatest weapons.

Since Satoru has such a nonchalant demeanor, he adds an element of playfulness to every aspect of his life. His antics aren't limited solely to his students and colleagues, either. During his fight with Jogo, he kept playfully goading the cursed spirit into touching his hands so he would have a better grasp on the "infinity" between them.

5 Satoru Stands Up To Archaic Hierarchies

Satoru detests the established hierarchy in the jujutsu world. When he talks to them, his words are harsh and sharp. He speaks to them in no uncertain terms and, since he's the strongest, his superiors are usually in no position to deny him anything.

Because of the leverage he holds over these archaic institutions, he was able to force the higher-ups to call off Yuji's and Yuta's executions, one of the best things Satoru has done so far. Since Satoru wants to reform jujutsu society, he can't just destroy the powers that be, even though he certainly has the power to do so.

While the rest of jujutsu society was out for Yuji's blood after he became Sukuna's vessel, Satoru was willing to give him a chance as soon as he met him. He challenged Yuji to let Sukuna take over for 10 seconds, then switch back. It was one of Yuji's strengths that he managed this feat.

As a teacher, such open-mindedness is a crucial part of his job. Satoru believes in the potential of each of his students. Often, he takes their requests much more seriously than orders from his superiors.

2 Satoru Takes Pride In His Role As An Educator

Gojo brings Yuji back from the dead to surprise everyone.

Satoru approaches teaching with a "sink-or-swim" mindset. It's common for him to drop his students off on hazardous missions and leave them to deal with problems on their own. In these instances, his only advice for them is "don't die."

Satoru has proven that he takes pride in his role as an educator. When working one-on-one with students, he takes on a hands-on approach. In Yuji's case, Satoru told him to watch movies while maintaining a steady flow of cursed energy. Satoru also likes to show off in front of his students, like when he fought Sukuna in front of Megumi.

1 Satoru Is The Strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer

Gojo with his eyes covered, grinning

Satoru Gojo is the strongest sorcerer alive. He possesses immense cursed energy, and his techniques are incredibly potent. Satoru has plenty of practical combat skills, as well. He has incredible reflexes, excellent observational skills, and he never lets his opponent know what he's thinking.

Aside from his practical abilities, Satoru's jujutsu talents are unmatched. Other sorcerers can typically pull off one Domain Expansion per day, but Satoru can manage this feat several times. His innate techniques, such as the Six Eyes, are also formidable obstacles for any enemy to overcome. With such immense power, it's not surprising that his enemies wanted him sealed away.
