Many shojo anime fans flock to the genre for the beautiful animation and romantic plot lines. Typically, the feel-good plots allow audiences to warm their hearts as they watch a couple fall in love. However, not all shojo anime have a satisfying ending.

As unfortunate as it sounds, there are many shojo anime that are either incomplete or have unrewarding endings. This could be due to various factors, including the show getting canceled or the central couple not getting together. Whatever the reason, anime fans will not rest until they know their favorite characters' full stories.

10 Convenience Store Boy Friends Left Us Wanting To Know Miharu's Fate

Convenience Store Boy Friends focuses on best friends, Haruki Mishima and Towa Honda, as they navigate high school life and romance. Haruki has been unable to get Miharu Mashiki out of his head since they were children, while Towa cannot seem to convince Mami Mihashi to go out with him. Love is in the air, but Haruki and Towa have yet to catch it.

Convenience Store Boy Friends needs a second season because it left audiences in the dark about Miharu's condition. At the end of the anime, Miharu has to have surgery for a heart defect and Miharu promises Haruki that she will not give up. However, after the credits roll, audiences only see a boy and a girl walking together into white light. This left both Mahiru and Haruki's fates unknown. A second season could tell viewers if the surgery went well and hopefully show Haruki and Mahiru living happily together.

9 Karin Needs To Show Us More Karin and Usui Adventures

Karin is a lesser-known anime about Karin Maaka, a reverse vampire. Unlike her family, Karin can only produce blood. Because of this, she has to give the excess blood to humans. Her blood production is triggered by unhappy people, especially when it comes to her classmate, Kenta Usui. Though she tries to hide it, Usui learns of her powers and tries to help.

Though the end of the show has a big battle between the vampire hunters and an out-of-control Karin, fans want to see more between her and Usui. The two lovebirds are so wholesome together, and the hijinks of the rest of the Maaka clan are too good for the show to be over.

8 Tsuki ga Kirei Skipped The Best Parts

Tsuki ga Kirei follows Kotaro Azumi and Akane Mizuno who begin to fall for one another in their last year of middle school. With high school fast approaching, and a big move for Akane's family, the two vow to love each other, no matter what happens.

Although Kotaro and Akane's romance is endearing, fans were left wanting more. The last scene shows Akane leaving on a train, reading a story Kotaro published online about how he will always love her. While the credits do show images of them getting married and having a baby, many audiences wished they could have seen it happen for themselves.

7 Brothers Conflict Needs To Be Resolved

Brothers Conflict is a show about Ema Hinata who moves in with her thirteen new stepbrothers after her dad marries their mom. However, the longer she resides in the house, the more feelings begin to stir, making the brothers wonder if one of them will win Ema's heart.

Despite its premise, Brothers Conflict has a lot of character development. Plus, even with the OVAs, many fans are still hoping and wondering if their favorite brother will finally end up with Ema. Even if none of them won her affections, fans still want to see more of the Asahina brothers' romantic antics .

6 Pretty Boy Detective Club Needs More Mysteries

Pretty Boy Detective Club follows Mayumi Doujima after she hires the titular club to help her find a star she saw as a child. Though they discover that the star was actually a government project, Mayumi loved working with the club so much, that she becomes its first female member. Together, the Pretty Boy Detective Club solves the school's mysteries and looks beautiful while doing it.

The show's first season had a lot of intriguing mysteries. However, there has yet to be any news about a second season. Audiences were enraptured by the stylistic animation and unique premise of the cases. Many fans hope another season is not too far behind.

5 Prétear Has More To Say

Prétear is about a young girl named Himeno Awayuki who discovers that she has the potential to become a Prétear, a protector of the earth. With her Leafe Knights at her side, Himeno learns the importance of trust and love along the way.

Though Prétear had a satisfying romantic conclusion, many fans believe that the show could do with more adventures from Himeno and her Leafe Knights. Many fans are still curious about the Leafe Knights' lives and hope to learn more about them. Another season could satisfy this need.

4 Kiss Him, Not Me Left Audiences Hanging

Kae Serinuma is content not having a boyfriend in the show Kiss Him, Not Me. She prefers to daydream about her favorite anime men getting together. Yet, one day, Serinuma finds herself surrounded by boys who all want to date her. She has to decide whether she wants to be with them, or endlessly fantasize about them pairing off with each other instead.

Kiss Him, Not Me left off on a cliffhanger of sorts. After all four boys, and her friend Shima Nishima, confess their feelings to her, Serinuma goes out with each of them to give them a better educated answer. However, rather than choosing, she only reiterates her anime crush and moves on. A second season would allow for potentially more dates and hopefully an answer to who Serinuma will choose.

3 Snow White With The Red Hair Needs A Wedding

When the local prince tries to proposition Shirayuki, she runs away only to be discovered by another prince, Zen of Clariness. Prince Zen offers her lodging and a job as an escape from her kingdom, and the two begin to form a bond much deeper than either of them expected.

Snow White with the Red Hair needs a third season, so fans get the privilege of seeing Shirayuki and Zen’s wedding, especially after agreeing to marry at the end of the second season. Plus, it would allow viewers to see Shirayuki continue her work as a Court Herbalist and watch Zen come into his own as a prince.

2 Yona Of The Dawn's Journey Has Just Begun

Yona of the Dawn is about the runaway Princess Yona as she tracks down the four Dragon Warriors to help her take back her kingdom. At her side is her trusted guard Son Hak as they search far and wide for each of the Warriors.

Princess Yona's journey with all four warriors has only begun. Although there are some OVAs to help the story, it is not enough for fans to demand to see Yona and her warriors coming back to take over the Koka Kingdom. Plus, Yona and Hak have yet to confess their feelings to each other.

1 Ouran High School Host Club Left A Lot On The Table

Ouran High School Host Club tells the story of a poor student named Haruhi Fujioka who is forced to join her school's host club to pay for an expensive vase that she broke. Though she is initially mistaken for a boy, Haruhi fits right in as a host, and even garners the attention of many of the other club members as well.

Though Haruhi and Tamaki confess their feelings for one another, there is not a satisfying conclusion to their story. They hug as they both fall off a bridge into forgiving water, and then Haruhi is seen dancing with all the boys at a club event. Fans of the series wanted to see more of their favorite central couple. Plus, audiences always love the hijinks of the rest of the club members.
