10 Uchuu Kyoudai (8.83)

"Space Brothers" occurs in a near future that could happen.

This award-winning manga is one of the best examples of seinen content. A sci-fi manga, it is the story of the Nanba brothers as they make a promise to go up to space. One brother travelling to the moon while the other promises to go to Mars.

However, it is now the year 2025, and while one brother is definitely making progress on becoming the first Japanese astronaut. The other one isn't able to achieve his dream, at least until he was given an opportunity to become a new astronaut. However, he seeks to kill Asekladd after causing a great family tragedy for Thorfinn. Vinland Saga is an epic that is built upon the foundations of its era. Riddled with war, violence, and the tragedies of battle. This is a manga that is absolutely wonderful for any type of manga lover.

8 Kaguya-Sama Wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi No Renai Zunousen (8.87)

An interesting take on the romance genre, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War in english, is a story about Miyuki Shirogane. The leading student council president who often works alongside his beautiful vice president Kaguya Shinomiya. Although played off for laughs that they are considered "the perfect couple," they aren't dating. However, they have since garnered feelings for one another, but out of a sense of pride, they play a mental game where one must confess first over the other. Doing whatever antics it takes for it to happen.

One of the most renowned manga's created by legendary Mangaka Naoki Urasawa, it is a mystery thriller that has been beloved by many fans all around the world. Starring Kenji Endo, a manager working at a convenience store, gets thrown into a mysterious conspiracy when one of his friends suddenly committed suicide. When a cult also started to get more precedence and they start to target Kenji and his childhood friends, it's a story of reunion and the potential end of the world.

6 Grand Blue (8.99)

A fantastic comedy seinen, Iori Kitahara is a freshman at Izu University as he moves into his uncles' shop "The Grand Blue". Although things don't quite go as smoothly when he gets roped in alcoholic activities with a group of rowdy, drunk and naked upperclassmen. Although he didn't want to be a part of it, he eventually became the centrepiece of the group. Things turn for the worst when his cousin stumbles upon the incident at the wrong time. Vowing to change his fate and have a great university life, it is a fun slice of life manga for any fan.

5 Kingdom (9.00)

Taking place during the warring states period of China, main characters Li Xin and Piao dream of becoming great generals despite their low standings as slaves. However one day, Piao is offered the chance by a person of high nobility to take up an important duty in the palaces. However, when an attack occurs and Piao dies, Li Xin promises to become one of the strongest generals in China while working alongside the fierce heir Ying Zheng. This is one of the most powerful political and war mangas ever.

4 Oyasumi Punpun (9.02)

Created by one of the greatest Mangaka's of his generation, Inio Asano, Oyasumi Punpun is one of the best psychological mangas in the market. Punpun Onodera is a simple 11-year-old boy who has a crush with a girl in his class, Aiko Tanaka. However, things in his life begin to unravel for the worse as he quickly learns about the worst things in humanity like his abusive father. Oyasumi Punpun is a breathtaking and dark manga that plays with the coming of age story in incredibly grim ways.

3 Vagabond (9.04)

One of Takehiko Inoue's greatest works and arguably his magnum opus by some, Vagabond is a fictional retelling on the life of Musashi Miyamoto. The story takes place during the 16th century where it details Miyamoto's life in a story that goes from arrogant swordsman to enlightened warrior who understands the value of close friends and reflections. Filled with great writing and some of the most gorgeous art to ever be made, this is absolutely a piece of work everyone should read.

2 Monster (9.07)

The pinnacle of Naoki Urasawa's works, what if people had a choice of saving two lives only for the one you chose is a complete utter monster. That is the story this manga conveys. Urasawa's Monster tells the story of Dr Kenzou Tenma who has to face the consequences after he saves a young boy who later becomes a murderer.

Becoming engrossed in a chain of murders, Tenma now tries his hardest to stop what could be his greatest mistake. This is not only Urasawa's writing at his absolute peak but his simplistic art style conveys all the emotion that is perfect for the Seinen genre.

1 Berserk (9.33)

Arguably the big one, Berserk is Kentarou Miura's masterpiece. Having over 40 volumes and being around since the year 1989, this series is a dark fantasy story about the character of Guts. As he embarks around the world, it is filled with incredibly memorable characters as well as really messed up themes.

The dichotomy of good and evil gets tested as Gut's sanity and misfortune continues to dwindle heavily. Fans get to see Miura's writing and artistic abilities reach its absolute peak. The best part is that the story is still ongoing to this day.
