One of the great benefits of watching WandaVision is experiencing the relationships that Wanda Maximoff has with other characters, including Vision and Agatha Harkness. While many of the relationships that Wanda has on the show are based on the ones she has in the comics, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has not yet highlighted all of the relationships Wanda has with others.

10 Carol Danvers And Wanda Had A Tight Bond

The Scarlet Witch talking about her friendship with Carol during the Avengers.

Although the MCU Carol Danvers and Wanda do not have a relationship beyond being fellow Avengers who fought Thanos together, the Marvel 616 Carol and Wanda had a very close relationship as friends. Although WandaVision may have hinted at the importance of Captain Marvel in Wanda's life by including Monica Rambeau in the series, the tight bond that existed between Carol and Wanda in the comics went unexplored.

Carol first became an Avenger when Wanda was on an extended leave of absence from the team, but that did not prevent the two women from becoming friends. When Carol struggled with alcoholism, Wanda was hit the hardest as she struggled to follow her conscience and kick Carol off the team. Later, when Wanda lost control of herself and attacked the Avengers, Pietro noted that Wanda loved Carol.

9 Jean Grey And Wanda Enjoyed Each Others Company In X-Men First Class

Jean Grey and Wanda Maximoff talk about fighting crime in X-Men First Class Comics.

While Wanda is one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Comics Universe, Jean Grey undoubtedly ranks high on that list as well. Although they rarely shared panel time in the 616 Universe, Marvel allowed Jean and Wanda to be friends during the X-Men First Class comics.

As friends, Wanda and Jean went shopping, went out to eat, and fought crime. The series depicts a very young Wanda and Jean, long before either would reach the height of their powers. Although later team-ups in the 616 Universe were not on friendly terms, the Wanda and Jean in this alternate comics universe were a power team-up that could have taken on any supervillain and stopped for ice cream afterwards.

8 Rogue Held A Grudge Against Wanda After The "No More Mutants" Incident

Wanda Maximoff and X-Men Rogue ready to fight Uncanny Avengers solicit.

Unlike many other characters on this list, Rogue from the X-Men did not have a friendly relationship with Wanda for a long time. After Wanda uttered her famous "No More Mutants" line, mutants around the world lost their powers. As an X-Men and a mutant, Rogue held a grudge against Wanda for the destruction she caused.

After working together on the Uncanny Avengers teamWanda and Rogue were able to get past their differences. When Rogue was being driven insane by the spirits of everyone whose powers she had absorbed, Wanda helped her by releasing those spirits back into their original owners. Rogue was also able to forgive Wanda for causing Decimation.

7 Simon Williams Shared A Romantic Relationship With Wanda

Wanda and Simon talk about their future in Mighty Avengers.

One of the most complicated background stories in comics involves Simon Williams. Simon has been an Avenger, a criminal, a crusader for superhero reform, actor, and munitions manufacturer. He has also "died" and come back to life multiple times, and given his brainwave patterns to Vision.

But one of the most frequent roles that Simon plays is being an important figure in Wanda's life. Although Wanda swore for many years, she only had brotherly feelings for Simon, the two of them eventually became romantically involved. Although they broke up as friends, they later reunited as Wanda was struggling to find herself in the aftermath of Avengers: Disassembled and Avengers: The Children's Crusade.

6 Billy Kaplan Saved His Mother From Doctor Doom

Wanda Maximoff and her son, Wiccan, talk about magic in The Avengers.

Although Wanda had two sons, it was the relationship with Billy Kaplan that most frequently took center stage in the comics. After Wanda was stopped following House of M, her whereabouts were unknown to the rest of the Avengers. This included the Young Avengers,  a team that Billy was a co-founder of, and Billy was determined to find out what had happened to his biological mother.

Billy's determination to find Wanda eventually led to Wanda rejoining the Marvel Universe and working alongside her former teammates again. Without the bond between mother and son, Wanda may have stayed in Doctor Doom's clutches forever.

5 Steve Rogers Gave Wanda A Second Chance

Wanda and Steve talk about Pietro not approving of Vision.

On the day that Wanda joined the Avengers, a major shake-up was taking place. Many of the founding members were leaving the team, including Iron Man, The Wasp,  and Ant-Man. Captain America would be staying behind, and the team would be getting four new recruits: Wanda, Hawkeye, and Quicksilver.

This period of time is affectionately known by fans as "Cap's Kooky Quartet," and it began a long period of Steve Rogers' friendship with Wanda. The two even briefly had a romantic interlude, and Steve was one of the Avengers who definitely believed Wanda should get a second chance after Avengers: The Children's Crusade brought her back to the fold.

4 Clint Barton Loved Her (But She Didn't Feel The Same)

As part of Cap's Kooky Quartet, Clint and Wanda shared a similar debut as heroes. Both Clint and Wanda were also reformed heroes on a team known for being "Earth's Mightiest Heroes." To no great surprise, Clint fell in love with Wanda, but she did not return his affections. Instead, she fell in love with Vision.

Despite his initial bruised feelings at being rejected, Clint and Wanda became close friends. When Wanda attacked the Avengers, Clint was seemingly killed, but she also brought him back to life following House of M.

3 Agatha Harkness Was A Powerful Ally

Marvel 616 Agatha Harkness and Wanda Maximoff talking.

The Agatha Harkness in WandaVision is a very different character than the one Wanda knew in the comics, but both characters played a vital role in the power Wanda would eventually wield.

In the comics, Agatha was repeatedly shown to be a powerful ally of Wanda. With Agatha's help, Wanda was able to harness abilities that she'd previously been unaware of, and when Wanda was confused about her powers, she consistently turned to Agatha for help.

2 Vision Was The Love Of Wanda's Life

Vision and the Scarlet Witch embrace and kiss.

Vision and Wanda have a complicated history in the comics, but Vision was undoubtedly the love of Wanda's life. The themes from WandaVision of Wanda wanting to live happily ever after with Vision in domestic bliss, complete with children, were first explored in the pages of the comics.

On the show, Wanda and Vision lived in the fictional town of Westview in New Jersey. In the comics, the two lived together in the New Jersey town of Leonia. Unlike their WandaVision counterparts, the comics versions of Wanda and Vision had an actual happy life together, with real twins. Unfortunately, this did not last, Wanda's children were revealed to be a plot of Mephisto. Wanda ended up killing Vision in the comics, and though she was not in her right mind at the time, he would continue to hold a grudge about it and assert that she did not belong in the Avengers anymore.

1 No One Has A Sibling Bond Like Pietro And Wanda Maximoff

Wanda and Pietro pose on cover of The Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

Fans of WandaVision were disappointed when Evan Peters ended up being a red herring instead of an introduction to the multiverse version of Pietro Maximoff. This disappointment was with good reason; Pietro and Wanda shared the deepest bond out of any of Wanda's comic book relationships.

Pietro was consistently protective of his sister, often to the point where he would drive others away in order to protect her.  Like any siblings, Wanda and Pietro would fight and have their disagreements, but they would always make up in the end. When Wanda created her perfect world in House of M, she had Pietro right by her side.
