For years, hardcore Pixar fans pointed to The Incredibles as one of the best films in the entire legacy of the animation company. The movie is an excellent example of the perfect Fantastic Four story, better than any of the three FF movies that graced theaters after this fantastic film. A sequel arrived that was not as good as the original, but still superior to the FF movies from Fox.

One of the things that people pointed to, outside of the great plot that showed a family forced to fight for survival in a world that was tired of heroes, was the dialogue. The characters were great, from the top-line characters of Mr. Incredible to the villain Syndrome to the minor characters like Frozone and Edna. In every case, they had some of the best lines in animated cinema.

10 Frozone's Super Suit

Samuel L. Jackson voiced the sidekick hero Frozone with the same energy and fury as he did Nick Fury. However, he also had a character that had lost a lot of his bluster thanks to a wife who was tired of his superhero ways and had no time for his nonsense.

When he needed to help his friends, he yelled out, "Honey, where is my super suit?" She wasn't having it as she informed him they had a dinner planned for the last two months, and he was simply astounded at the situation.

9 Secret Identity

Mr Incredible from Incredibles

Mr. Incredible was the one member of this super family who didn't want to give up the act of a superhero. However, when the government banned all superhero acts, he had no choice.

Before he was forced to retire, though, Mr. Incredible enjoyed his secret identity. As he said, "of course I have a secret identity. I don't know a single superhero who doesn't. Who wants the pressure of being super all the time?" When he was no longer allowed to be super at all, he regretted that line.

8 I Just Cleaned Up This Mess

Mister Incredible

At the same time that Mr. Incredible was talking about not wanting to be super all the time, he was also getting frustrated at the entire idea that nothing he did ever lasted.

It is the pure frustration of superheroes that no matter how many times they save the day, things break again quickly. He looked around and asked after a battle, "I feel like the maid. I just cleaned up this mess. Can we keep it clean for ten minutes?"

7 Supermodels

The Incredibles Edna

The most quotable member of The Incredibles cast of characters is Edna. Shockingly, it was director Brad Bird who voiced the character, and she stole every scene she appeared in. She was also someone who was finding a hard time in her work with superheroes banned.

In the time that Edna was not designing superhero costumes (especially not with capes), she ended up creating clothing for supermodels. However, it disgusted her, and she shredded the entire idea. Edna said, "Supermodels, there is nothing super about them."

6 You Married Elastigirl?

Mr Incredible and Elastigirl

Jason Lee voiced the supervillain Syndrome. However, even though Buddy Pine was Mr. Incredible's biggest fans as a child, he had no idea the secret identities of the characters he was so obsessed with.

When he got the entire family trapped on his island, he was shocked. "Oh, no. Elastigirl? You married Elastigirl? Oh, and got busy! It's a whole family of supers! Looks like I hit the jackpot!" Even as a genius villain, Buddy was never the smartest one.

5 Men At Robert's Age Are Often Unstable

Edna

Edna, on top of zingers, is also not one to hold her tongue. When Elastigirl went to see her, to find out what happened to her husband, Edna was blunt about what he was doing and where he was going.

While Elastigirl was dumbfounded by his actions, going behind her back, and breaking the law to be a super again, Edna just shrugged. She said to Elastigirl, "Men at Robert's age are often unstable," and she was right, as usual.

4 When Everyone's Super, No One Will Be

Syndrome in The Incredibles

Who was the real bad guy in The Incredibles? Of course, it was Buddy Pine, otherwise known as Syndrome. However, the best villains are always the ones who believe with all their heart that they are right. Buddy killed many people to get his way, so no matter what he said, he was still the villain.

Despite this, his words had to sting Mr. Incredible, who was at least vicariously responsible for the deaths. It was Mr. Incredible who dismissed Buddy as a child and sent him on his way. Buddy had one goal, and that was to make everyone super. "When everyone's super, no one will be."

3 My God You've Gotten Fat

Edna Incredibles

The first person that Mr. Incredible went to when he decided to take on the role of a super again to go on a new secret mission was Edna. In the time that he was retired from the super game, he was an insurance claims adjuster.

This was a desk job and he did nothing else, sitting around all day and losing what made him super. When he went to Edna for a new costume, she was shocked when she saw him. "My god, you've gotten fat," Edna exclaimed.

2 I Wanted To Go Bowling

Frozone in Incredibles

At the start of The Incredibles, after the entire incident where supers were outlawed, he still had nights out with his buddy Frozone.

In one of the nights out shown in the movie, the two ended up stopping a crime and then running to hide so they wouldn't get arrested for using their powers. It was dangerous and close, and Frozone wasn't enthused, exclaiming, "I wanted to go bowling," as only Samuel L. Jackson could.

1 Ask Me Now Before I Again Become Sane

As mentioned, Mr. Incredible went to Edna when he wanted to get back into the game. She had no idea what he wanted, and in her life, she has no time for nonsense. As a result, she was curt with him and let him know that she wanted to know what he wanted because she was too busy.

In pure Edna fashion, she said, "ask me now before I again become sane." However, Edna always wants to help, as she did again in the sequel with Jack-Jack.
