Marvel Studios announced a new live-action Daredevil series was in the works, rewarding fans of the hit Netflix series. The series is rumored to continue the Netflix series instead of giving the property a full reboot. Daredevil's return to the MCU was previously teased by Charlie Cox's appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

In the comics, Karen Page was Daredevil's soulmate. She became one of his closest confidantes in the live-action series. Karen Page (played by Deborah Ann Woll) began working with Nelson & Murdock to bring down the Kingpin in the live-action series. She had been targeted by Wilson Fisk after leaking sensitive corporate documents in the first season.

Karen grew close to Frank Castle after he debuted as The Punisher in the second season. While trying to justify his actions, Karen dwelled on her own history in Hell's Kitchen. Her observation about the city revealed that she was understanding of Castle's brutal methods. She had felt the same way when she was forced to gun down Kingpin's aide Wesley to save her own life.

9 “There Are No Heroes, No Villains. Just People With Different Agendas.”

Vondie Curtis‑Hall played intrepid Daily Bugle reporter Ben Urich, though he was reimagined as a journalist at the New York Bulletin for the live-action series. Urich was also investigating Fisk, which eventually brought him together with Karen Page. He began training the young woman as his successor as they worked together to uncover Fisk's dirty secrets.

His time investigating both heroes and villains made him realize they were only separated by their motivations. Whether it was Daredevil or Kingpin, they were both able to go to extremes to accomplish their goals. Urich's insightfulness would ultimately fall short as he was shockingly murdered by Fisk in the first season.

Matt Murdock's closest friend and partner-in-law is Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, played by Eldon Hansen. While he initially focused more on making money for their firm, he joined with Murdock to provide law services to those who needed them instead of those who could pay for them.

This put them into a direct confrontation with Wilson Fisk and his team of lawyers. Foggy revealed not only his faith in the system but also his conviction to take down Fisk the proper way. He was instrumental in getting charges laid against Wilson Fisk that finally put The Kingpin in prison.

Matt Murdock met an important ally early in his fight against the criminal elements of Hell's Kitchen. Claire Temple (played by Rosario Dawson) was another version of the Night Nurse from the comics. Temple filled a different role in Netflix's connected Marvel series that led to the Defenders.

She first became an ally to Daredevil when he needed to be treated for his injuries. She then became one of Daredevil's best love interests, but his willingness to throw himself into danger for his cause proved to be too much for Claire. He was going to get himself killed for the city he loved, and she wasn't going to stand by and watch it.

The second season of Daredevil featured Élodie Yung as Elektra Natchios. She was a former flame of Matt Murdock's who was also a lethal assassin. She had been trained by Murdock's mentor Stick. however, she failed in her mission when she fell in love with Murdock.

Elektra was a thrill-seeker who lived by her own set of rules, which didn't always fit in Daredevil's view of the world. She was critical of Murdock's choice to use his law skills during the day to continue his fight. She felt that he could be doing more at night as Daredevil to protect Hell's Kitchen.

The main villain of Netflix's Daredevil series was Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, played by Vincent D'Onofrio. The character was so beloved by fans that he was the first to return to the MCU in Disney+'s Hawkeye series. His return then teased Charlie Cox's reprisal of Matt Murdock in No Way Home.

The duo had many tense confrontations and conversations that resulted in some great quotes. Wilson Fisk told a story to the police who were transporting him before he escaped. This quote still stands as one of his best monologues in the series that revealed his true nature.

Matt Murdock was scouted at a young age for his role in the fight against the Hand. His mentor after his father's death was an enigmatic man named Stick, played by Scott Glenn. Stick trained young Matt to aid him in his fight, though he also tried to break some of the lessons he had learned over the years from his father.

Stick was known for his use of tough love, which was evident even when he was trying to give a valuable lesson. "What's it gonna be, Matty? You gonna spend your life crying and rocking yourself to sleep at night? Or are you gonna dig deep and find out what it takes to reshuffle those cards life dealt you? Your call."

3 "If I Was Wearing A Mask, The Press Would Be Calling Me A Hero. Instead, I'm Sitting In Here Trying To Justify Defending Myself."

The third season introduced a new take on one of the strongest Daredevil villains, Bullseye. Benjamin "Dex" Poindexter (played by Wilson Bethel) was an FBI sniper with perfect aim who was assigned to protect Wilson Fisk. However, Kingpin was able to influence Dex, who was struggling with psychopathic tendencies that Fisk manipulated.

During an attack by Albanian terrorists, Dex executed every attacker in front of Fisk. When Dex was questioned about his actions, he struck back using the public's approval of Daredevil. Dex would later help turn the public perception against Daredevil when he went on a murder spree in Murdock's costume for Kingpin.

The second season of Daredevil also introduced the character of Frank Castle, played by Jon Bernthal. Following the tragic death of his family, he launched a one-man war against crime as The Punisher. While the character had been adapted a few times in live-action before, Bernthal became one of the best versions of The Punisher which earned him a two-season spin-off on Netflix.

Daredevil and The Punisher had a few encounters over the course of the season. Each one forced them to challenge their own understanding of right and wrong. After a heated discussion on a rooftop, Castle made it clear to Daredevil that there wasn't much separating them beyond one bad day.

Charlie Cox starred as the Man Without Fear in Netflix's Daredevil series. He will be reprising the role in the MCU's continuation of Daredevil. Matt Murdock delivered a number of memorable quotes over the run of the series as well as his appearance in Defenders. However, it was his return to action in the third season of Daredevil that introduced a few fan-favorite quotes.

Daredevil's life was in shambles and Matt Murdock's identity was nearly revealed by Wilson Fisk. He decided to return to his role as a vigilante but wanted to abandon his life as Matt Murdock as well. His struggle with his religion and his dual identity forced him to rededicate his efforts as the protector of Hell's Kitchen.
