Wapol may be considered one of the worst side characters and villains in the franchise, but the World Nobles didn't give him the Black Drum Kingdom for nothing. His Devil Fruit, Baku Baku No Mi, allows him to virtually eat anything that fits into his expandable mouth. In turn, his body transforms to match whatever he recently ingested.
With this ability, he produced a shape-memory steel called Wapometal after eating garbage. He made a fortune selling Wapometal toys. In real life, it can solve the problem of single plastics that cannot be decomposed. Wapometal can transform into anything practical and reusable, reducing the world's carbon emissions significantly.
9 The Vivre Card Works As A Human GPS
In Episode 110, Ace handed Luffy a piece of paper called the Vivre Card. This piece of paper indicates a person's direction and life force. Made from fingernail clippings or a strand of hair, this paper has shown to have different uses. An example is when Nami used Big Mom's Vivre Card to get forest homies to stop attacking her.
Tracking people can be difficult without a piece of technology or some sort of satellite navigation. With a Vivre Card, the tracking can be done easily. Not only does it point in the direction of the person, but it can also indicate whether they are still alive or not. In espionage or criminal pursuits, Vivre Cards work as a form of human GPS.
8 Raid Suits Protect Rescuers From Any Situation
Upon the introduction of Sanji's family, the Vinsmokes, the audience learns of their genetically-modified bodies. To enhance their abilities, they wear Raid Suits that are both functional and fashionable. While it's not fully explained, the material resembles Wapometal due to its shape-memory fabric.
The canisters use biometrics to activate, so each Raid Suit remains unique to its designated user. Rescuers like firefighters, ski patrols, and divers can benefit from wearing the suit. In the event of danger, the suit helps the user hover in the air, withstand extreme temperatures, and enhance abilities such as strength and speed.
7 Log Pose Help Castaways & Navigators Find Islands
Normally, compasses are used to indicate direction and geographic orientation. In One Piece, navigators use a Log Pose, a special type of compass to record the magnetic field from the current island to the next. Nami learned to use the Log Pose so the Straw Hats can navigate the coolest islands on the Grand Line.
This becomes useful for seafarers exploring uncharted waters or castaways looking to escape getting stranded on an island. Another type of Log Pose called an Eternal Pose works like a compass that will point to a specific island. No matter where a sailor goes, using this type of compass will always lead them to their destination.

To navigate from Paradise to the New World, ships need to cross the Red Line. For pirates, going through Mary Geoise is not an option unless they want to be captured by Marines. They have a choice to either sail Reverse Mountain or submerge down to Fish-Man Island. In order to do the latter, ships need to undergo coating.
This process allows ships to sail underwater without getting crushed by the water pressure. There would be fewer shipwrecks in the world if any ship could be turned into a submarine. During the Fish-Man Island arc, Hody Jones introduced the Energy Steroids that make a regular person overpowered. They appear to be waterproof pills that are considered legendary and a national treasure for their abilities. Some people may find it controversial to use a virus to treat another disease. However, they work similarly to a vaccine but on a much larger scale. In a pandemic-stricken world, perhaps a different variation of the Chopperphage can treat people simultaneously.

Apart from being a floating island, technology is considered to play a major part in the Skypiea arc. The Straw Hats discover that Skypieans and Shandians live in a utopia, filled with advanced forms of gadgets and transportation. Everything comes from the power of dials, shellfish remains exclusively available on sea clouds.
These dials can store a single type of element and matter but release it in different ways. In a world of scarce resources and fossil fuels, dials work as a sustainable and renewable alternative source of energy. They're far less harmful to the environment and affordable because of their abundance.
1 Vegaforce-01 Can Take Over Dangerous Manual Labor
In Chapter 1061, Oda finally introduced the mysterious character that comes in many forms, Vegapunk. His satellite, Lilith, appeared to be a woman operating the enormous Vegaforce-01 mecha robot. Due to its size, the robot can easily carry large ships and deliver explosive punches. Surprisingly, it can also move underwater and fly at great speeds using its jet propulsion and anti-gravity technology.
In the real world, the Vegaforce-01 could automate blue-collared jobs. It could take over manual labor under extreme conditions to reduce any risks that come with physically-taxing work.
