Few actors have skyrocketed to stardom as fast as Margot Robbie has. In just a few years, she went from a complete unknown to one of the most instantly recognizable lead actors in all of Hollywood. Amongst her short but fantastic time on top are fan favorites with a smaller budget and some of the biggest movies of the past decade, and Robbie stands out in each one. Before The Suicide Squad comes out and continues her remarkable run, here are some of Margot Robbie's best films so far and where they are available to stream or rent.

About Time

Less than two months before her breakout performance in The Wolf of Wall Street, Robbie made her feature film debut in the romantic fantasy About Time. Love Actually director Richard Curtis tells the story of Tim, played by Domhnall Gleeson, who's inherited his family's superpower to travel through time. Those powers help him find a girl named Mary, played by Rachel McAdams. Robbie plays Charlotte, the girl Tim tries to start a relationship with until he realizes that he's in love with Mary. About Time is certainly a film worth watching for Robbie fans who want to see the beginning of her career.

About Time is available to stream on Netflix or to rent on Apple TV, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu and YouTube.

The Wolf of Wall Street

Margot Robbie as Naomi in Wolf Of Wall Street

Playing Leonardo DiCaprio's love interest in a Martin Scorsese-directed film is no small task, and the unproven Robbie managed to pull it off in her early twenties no less. She plays Naomi Lapaglia, the woman who causes DiCaprio's Jordan Belfort to leave his wife and marry her while getting rich as a corrupt stock broker. Throughout their wild adventures, Robbie goes toe-to-toe with DiCaprio in plenty of hilarious and compelling scenes, making her a star in the process. Robbie could have retired from acting after Wolf's release and she still would have been remembered in the annals of cinema, as it's arguably Scorsese's most popular and quoted film since Goodfellas.

The Wolf of Wall Street is available to stream on Amazon Prime and Paramount+ or to rent on Apple TV, Google Play, Vudu and YouTube.

Z for Zachariah

Despite having an impressive cast with Robbie, Chris Pine and Chiwetel Ejiofor, Z for Zachariah is a post-apocalyptic drama that went under the radar in 2015. While science-fiction fans may not like the lack of action and slow pace of the film, it's still enjoyable for fans of these three actors, as they are the last known survivors of a nuclear disaster. Based on the novel of the same name by Robert C. O'Brien, this is showcases Robbie's ability to carry a movie on her own. It's also probably the closest thing to a Fallout movie currently in existence.

Z for Zachariah is available to stream on Tubi or to rent on YouTube, Apple TV, Google Play and Vudu.

Goodbye Christopher Robin

Robbie reunited with her About Time co-star Domhnal Gleeson in this biopic on A.A. Milne, the author of the Winnie the Pooh books. While Milne's creation of the Winnie the Pooh books inspired by his son Christopher Robin Milne seemed like a beautiful story, in reality the huge success of the books took a toll on the family. Robbie plays Milne's wife, Daphne, who chooses to capitalize on her son's newfound celebrity, which eventually puts a strain on their relationship. Fans of the iconic Pooh franchise should absolutely check out this film about its lesser known origins.

Goodbye Christopher Robin is available to rent on Amazon, Apple TV, YouTube and Vudu.

I, Tonya

Robbie received her first Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for playing Tonya Harding. Harding was an Olympic figure skater who became arguably the most hated person in America during the winter of 1994, when she was involved in an attack on rival skater Nancy Kerrigan. Robbie loses herself in the role of Harding in this black comedy biopic chronicling her tough childhood and abusive marriage with Jeff Gillooly, played by the Winter Soldier himself, Sebastian Stan. All of this leads up to one of the wildest scandals in sports history, yet by the end, Robbie makes Harding look more like an anti-hero than a villain.

I, Tonya is available to stream on fuboTV and Showtime or to purchase on YouTube, Google Play and Amazon.

Mary Queen of Scots

Queen Elizabeth I has been portrayed in film by the likes of Katherine Hepburn, Bette Davis and Cate Blanchett. In 2018, Robbie got to play England's most famous monarch in Josie Rourke's Mary Queen of Scots. Although Elizabeth is usually the hero of films about her, this time it's the titular character, Mary Stuart, who takes the spotlight, played by Saoirse Ronan. Stuart was the Queen of France and cousin of Elizabeth, who attempted to reclaim the English throne, leading to one of the most infamous executions in history. While the story of Mary and Elizabeth has been retold often, it's still worth watching to see Robbie and Ronan give it their all.

Mary Queen of Scots is available to rent on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Google Play and YouTube.

Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood

Six years after starring with Leonardo DiCaprio in a Scorsese film, Robbie reunited with DiCaprio to star in Quentin Tarantino's highly anticipated Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood, about Hollywood life in the summer of 1969 and the impending rise of the Manson family. Upon initial viewing, audiences expected a retelling of Sharon Tate's gruesome murderbut instead received a celebration of Tate's legacy as a movie star on the rise. Robbie doesn't get to do a lot as Tate and is not as memorable as DiCaprio and Brad Pitt's Oscar performances, but she was still perfect for the role and a delight every time she appeared onscreen.

Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood is available to stream on Starz, and to purchase on Amazon Prime, Google Play, Apple TV and YouTube.

Birds of Prey

Birds of Prey DVD Art

Although Robbie's performance as Harley Quinn in the character's live-action movie debut Suicide Squad was met with positive reception, the movie itself was a considered a complete mess by critics and fans. Fortunately, Robbie's Quinn got a proper reintroduction four years later with Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn.) Directed by Cathy Yan, this spin-off saw Quinn on her own, forming the Birds of Prey group and taking on Ewan McGregor's sinister crime lord Roman Sionis/Black Mask. As the star of her own movie this time, Robbie's chaotic and hilarious Quinn became an unlikely symbol of female empowerment, advancing the character's status as one of the most popular in all of DC.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is available to stream on HBO Max or to rent on Amazon Prime, YouTube, Google Play, Apple TV and Vudu.
