Part of the fun of Hirohiko Araki's hit manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is the fact that's like an anthology. From one story arc to another, we meet a new Joestar protagonist with unique powers and an all-new crew of friends and teammates. We begin in the Victorian era with Jonathan Joestar, then move on to Joseph Joestar's exploits during the eve of World War II.

The third part (Stardust Crusaders) is arguably the most popular, but let's not forget what comes next: Diamond is Unbreakable. Many fans of this anime did a great job making fan art or dressing up as the lovable characters of Diamond is Unbreakable, and now, we're going to check out ten cosplayers who truly brought Josuke and the others to life.

10 A true rogue

Why not start off the list with some fantastic creative license? Half the fun of anime cosplay comes from fan-original content, when the character is dressed up in new clothes or even swap sexes. In this case, we leading man Josuke as a pirate!

A classy one, at that. Just look at that officer jacket and saber! Josuke never wore anything like this in the anime, but it suits Josuke's tough, somewhat rogueish ways. He delivers justice on his own terms, and this cosplayer knew just how to represent that with pirate flair.

9 Gone but not totally forgotten

Josuke, Rohan, and the other heroes of Morioh town make an unexpected ally in Reimi Sugimoto, who is... wait for it... a ghost. She was Yoshikage Kira's first victim, and her murder in the late 1980s was an ugly stain on Morioh's history.

But now, her spirit (and that of her dog) linger in an enchanted back alley, and this kind girl helps the boys deliver justice on the cold-blooded killer who ended her life too early. We love the soft evening lighting of this cosplay, and the costume and wig are looking good. Be nice to ghosts, and they'll return the favor!

8 Shapeshifter Man

Meet Mikitaka Hazekura, who is probably an alien. At least, that's what he says, and Josuke and Okuyasu can't find any proof one way or the other. He also has the power to morph into anything, but once again, we're in the dark: is he a stand user, or not? A thrilling mystery!

This cosplayer, meanwhile, is wonderfully faithful to Araki's art style, which favors bold lines and detailed faces. With some elegantly applied makeup and contact lenses, the manga's art style comes to life in the flesh, and what an outstanding (and striking) effect it is! The wig and prosthetic ears round out this cosplay just right.

7 In Cold Blood

It's time for some villain cosplay! While Dio Brando was the big baddie of parts 1 and 3 of the anime, part 4 brings us Yoshikage Kira, a perfectly mortal and unassuming man... who just loves to murder women and date their severed hands.

That sends chills down the spine, doesn't it? But Kira is also a terrific stand user, and this cosplayer totally nailed it. That suit is a rich purple-blue hue, and check out the skull patterns on that tie. A scarily realistic hand and an arrogant look on the cosplayer's face are just right to complete this cosplay.

6 Dark Rohan

Was a classy pirate Josuke exotic enough for you? No? How about a vampire Rohan? This cosplayer went all out to reimagine the manga artist Rohan Kishibe as an aristocratic bloodsucker, and we love it.

Rohan has eggshell-white hair this time around, and that and his ghostly skin make it clear that he's no mortal being! Let's not forget that high-quality outfit, from slick leather pants to a cloak and fancy necklaces and talismans. And that stained glass window makes for a terrific backdrop to bring this scene to life. Rohan looks set to guest-star in Hellsing or D.Gray-Man.

5 Punk Josuke

These cosplayers are really good at putting our favorite Diamond is Unbreakable characters in new outfits, aren't they? We see these characters in a whole new light, and the trend continues with a stylish punk Josuke.

The wig is slick and accurate to the character, and so is that "eh, whatever" expression the cosplayer has. Josuke is usually pretty laid-back, until the action starts, after all. That leather vest, the jewelry, and moody lighting make it seem that Josuke is fond of spooky nightclubs, and it's a really fresh take on the character.

4 Not So Secret Crush

Not all of the villains in Diamond is Unbreakable are serial killers. In fact, one of them is Josuke and Koichi's own classmate, the lovely Yukako Yamagishi! This girl has a pretty lofty attitude, and she sneers at most of the people around her. But she does have eyes for Koichi... and snares him with her hair-based stand, Love Deluxe!

Fortunately, Koichi is soon rescued, though Yukako never gave up her passion for Koichi. This cosplayer gives us a charming Yukako, who has wavy dark hair just like the character. Is it just us, or do Yukako's locks look like tentacles? That's probably the whole idea, in fact. And what a nice touch, with that framed photo of Koichi.

3 Battle artist

We got a real kick out of vampire Rohan, but the original design is simply classic. This cosplayer checked off all the boxes to bring Rohan to life, from those boots to his exposed belly to his stylish green hair.

Rohan's stern, confident look is right on point, and that eerie yellow sky is 100% authentic to Diamond is Unbreakable. We're sure that Heaven's Door isn't far away!

2 New Face, same evil

Who's this rather creepy businessman? Surprise: it's Yoshikage Kira in a new body! After Kira was exposed by Josuke and Jotaro's group, the villain was getting desperate, so he turned to the Cinderella stand for a new look and a new life.

Kira bought himself a lot of time this way and even integrated into a new household. This cosplayer did a fine job recreating Kira's final form, from that distinctive slicked-black hair to the menacing skull tie and even his fondness for clipping his nails. Remember all those jars at his house, packed with clippings? The heroes were more than a little creeped out after seeing that!

1 Koichi and Cinderella

Now this is a bizarre scene! Meet Koichi, the petite high schooler boy with a sound effect-based stand. He starts off rather meek until he learns to bravely use his Echoes stand to save the day. And save Yukako's heart, too.

How? Yukako was so desperate for Koichi's approval, she turned to a face-changing stand, but she ended up with an identity crisis. So, Koichi stepped in and helped Yukako remember who she was. This cosplayer nailed all the details of our beloved shorty hero Koichi, from the wig to the schoolboy outfit to a rather confused expression!
