Hirohiko Araki's hit Shonen anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has attracted a huge following over the years, and this action series follows the adventures and drama of the Joestar family through the generations. The main "JoJo" characters, from Jonathan to Jotaro to Giorno, meet all kinds of colorful villains and allies along the way, along with their many different stands.

The characters of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure are ripe for cosplay, since many of them have fancy and unique outfits that really stand out in a crowd. This anime is a real visual treat, and some cosplayers have worked their hardest to recreate those characters down to the finest detail. Let's look over the end results of these efforts.

10 Jolyne Cujoh

The JoJo anime is divided into different "parts", each with a different protagonist of the Joestar family line. Part six is known as Stone Ocean, and it might one day get animated. In the meantime, this cosplayer makes for a very convincing Jolyne Cujoh, the first girl to appear among the JoJo protagonists. She has a slender but tough physique like Jolyne does, and her costume looks very high quality and shiny, too. Her hair color is just right, a stunning shade of green, and the cosplayer even added some handcuffs for good measure. For reference, Jolyne first appears as an inmate in a women's prison.

9 Bucciarati in the sun

Now for another JoJo hero, this one a major character from part 5, or Golden Wind. Bruno Bucciarati is a good guy despite being a gangster, and he and Giorno Giovanna broke away from the Passione gang to defy their cruel boss. This cosplayer paid close attention to Bucciarati's outfit and wig, and from a distance, you'd think it was the real thing! The elegant, relaxed pose and rustic setting help bring this cosplay to life. Looks like Bucciarati finally got some down time between stand battles.

8 All hail the boss

Here are three characters from Golden Wind, and they make for a fascinating scene based on the anime. On the left we get the boss, Diavolo, who looks appropriately mysterious and foreboding with that pose and his hidden face. In the green outfit is a Fugo cosplayer, whose deference shows his mingled admiration and fear of the boss (he never betrayed the boss like Bucciarati did in the anime). Finally, in the background, Trish is facing away, possibly to show how she won't accept her father under any circumstances. The fog effect makes this scene even more eerie, and to great effect.

7 Narancia and Abbaccio

Here are two more members of the Passione gang in Golden Wind. After all, part 5 of the anime is packed with cool characters with showy costumes, making them a good subject for cosplay fun. On the left we get Narancia, the bratty but brave 17-year-old in Bucciarati's gang, complete with his stand, Aerosmith. It might have been digitally added later, but either way, it looks very realistic! On the right is Leo Abbaccio, the tall and brooding member of Passione with Moody Blues as his stand. Both cosplayers are exquisitely detailed and in fine form.

6 Trish Una

The Golden Wind streak continues with this fascinating cosplay of Diavolo's estranged daughter, Trish Una. Her costume is richly detailed and looks high quality, down to her leather boots with gold zippers on it. That golden sunburst behind the cosplayer makes for a great background, and that, combined with the cosplayer's elegant pose, really makes this look like a work of art. Many poses in JoJo were inspired by real-life Italian statues, and this cosplayer must have the same idea. Well done!

5 Double Joseph

Joseph Joestar was the hero of Battle Tendency, appearing in a 1938 setting as a brash and heroic young man with stylish clothes. In Stardust Crusaders, Joseph is now in his 60s, but is still ready to fight to defend his daughter's life. These two cosplayers had a great idea: what if old and young Joseph came face to face in some time paradox? The poses look great, and both costumes are convincing even if they're made with off-the-shelf clothes. Joseph's outfits are more down-to-earth than those of Golden Wind, making cosplaying a little easier. But that doesn't have to mean cheap! They look like they walked right off the set of a live-action JoJo movie.

4 Jotaro Kujo

And now, one of the most popular JoJo characters appears in cosplay form. Jotaro Kujo, hero of Stardust Crusaders, wears a high school uniform but adds some of his own accents to it, and this cosplayer has them all. The jacket looks to be of high quality materials, and all the colors are looking vivid and spot-on. The hat is finely detailed too, including the gold pins on the front. To go the extra mile, this cosplayer modified the hat so that it blends and fades into his hair, like Jotaro's from the anime.

3 Okuyasu

Here is a character from the fourth installment of the series, Diamond is Unbreakable. Okuyasu first appears as a villain, but not for long. After the death of his brother, he joins Josuke on his adventures across Morioh, and this cosplayer neatly captured his rogue, punkish ways (with a good heart). Okuyasu's jacket is vividly realized, with quality fabric and rich colors on every last detail. The hair looks good too, with neatly combed, slicked back black and gray hair. Not even Okuyasu's facial lines (scars?) were left out.

2 Cioccolata

It's time for another Golden Wind cosplay, and this one comes in gruesome detail! The villainous Cioccolata is a ruthless stand user who had eccentric green hair and a lab coat, and this cosplayer covered all their bases. This is one doctor you don't want to visit for a checkup.

1 Lady DIO and Jotaro

The list wraps up with a classic image from Stardust Crusaders. At some point in the climax, Jotaro and DIO are face to face at last, and DIO takes some confident strides forward. The DIO cosplayer has a shiny and detailed outfit worthy of a vampire lord, and that even includes DIO's own name on the back. The wig is looking good, too. Over on the right, we get a gender-bender Jotaro, who's looking pretty confident and tough as DIO approaches. She swaps out Jotaro's uniform pants for stocking and heels, while the rest of the uniform is just as we remember it. Looking good!
