10 Sweet Home

Cha Hyunsoo in the Sweet Home Webtoon

A young man loses his family to tragedy and must navigate life on his own. Since he's a shut-in, more comfortable with gaming than hanging with friends in real life, it takes a while before realizes things are not right in the world.  By the time he figures it out, it's too late. He is left to figure out how to survive and save his neighbors from the monsters trying to kill them all.

9 Ghost Wife

If finding out what living with a demon that eats cats sounds interesting, Ghost Wife might be worth the read. The story follows a teenage girl named Liz, who can see monsters after one fateful night with a demon. To have any kind of protection against evil, she will have to become engaged to the demon she first saw.

The artwork in this webtoon makes the characters look harmless but don't let that fool you. Every episode will have readers on the edge of their seats, trying to make it to the end without vomiting.

8 Ghost Teller

Ghost Teller webtoon

Ghost Teller is a different type of horror series. Instead of following one person as they fight the minions of evil, this webtoon tells stories from the ghosts' perspective. Each story is broken into at least four parts so the reader can get into it.

The first episode starts with a few ghosts sitting around a table, discussing how terrible humans are. One spirit begins to tell a story that is "more terrifying than any ghost." The series is completed, so if marathoning a series sounds interesting, this is an excellent webtoon to start.

6 Tales Of The Unusual

Here is another compilation of spooky stories to make a reader uncomfortable. With titles like A Boy and A Murderer or Gallery of the Damned, how could it not? There is a lesson to be learned at the end of each story with plenty of time to learn it. Each story lasts at least eight chapters.

Tales of the Unusual is currently on hold by the writer, but don't worry. There are 279 chapters presently on the site, which is plenty to read while waiting for new stories.

4 Melvina's Therapy

This pandemic has been brutal. Going to therapy might help keep people calm in this sea of uncertainty. Mental treatment can be incredibly beneficial unless it's like Melvina's therapy. While it might seem like Melvina helps her patients at first, she's actually doing the opposite. Some go mad, and some end up with a fate worse than death.

The webtoon is divided into sessions with different patients, and each patient story lasts over a series of chapters. In each chapter, you see Melvina, rarely speaking, but always with a knowing look on her face. The black and white artwork only adds a layer of creepiness to the series.

3 Uriah

A mature audience alert pops up when you begin to read Uriah, citing adult themes and graphic violence. In the opening scenes, we see a boy tied up in the back of an abandoned car, bloodied and bruised. He has no memory of how he got there. When someone comes to his aid, they realize they are trapped on an island.

While looking at the bridges stuck in the open position, the reader can see part of a body. Uriah is currently on hold, but the author left a note saying they will return soon, and with 61 episodes available, there is plenty of content to devour.

2 Bite Me

The author completed this webtoon in 2019 with 105 chapters. The fact that it remains one of the top-rated stories on the app is a testament of how good the storyline is.

1 Witch Creek Road

Flesh-eating demons. Characters that start off incredibly smart. Funny one-liners. This sums up Witch Creek Road. Sure, it's a horror story, but who says horror can't be amusing?

This webtoon will have the reader laughing while shuddering while reading about how a couple of clueless teens survive the night of demons after they took a wrong turn. Witch Creek Road is currently in the middle of its third season so there's plenty of gore to get into. Read this at night for an extra scare factor.
