DC has a lot of TV shows under its belt, each giving viewers a look at one of their iconic superheroes. With many of these shows lasting several seasons, they're easy to binge for hours on end. It helps that many of these shows have a lot of passion behind them, making them more enjoyable.

We're looking at the best content DC has to offer on the small screen. If you're ready to binge a new show, then stick around. Length, quality, and great stories are the deciding factors in this list.

10 CONSTANTINE

Legends of Tomorrow Constantine

John Constantine is one of DC's more unique characters. Instead of being a billionaire who knows how to fight or an alien from outer space, Constantine is gifted in the dark arts and gets into numerous fights with supernatural forces. His journey is highlighted in the Constantine show.

Matt Ryan does an excellent job of portraying the confidence and cold-hearted nature of Constantine. Unfortunately, the show was canceled before it got a proper ending. However, Constantine was later integrated with the Arrowverse, first appearing in Season Four of Arrow before becoming a member of the Legends of Tomorrow. For that reason, his backstory makes for nice television.

9 DOOM PATROL

Doom Patrol might be higher on this list if it were longer, but it's still in its early stages. The show is completing its first season on DC Universe. However, within those few episodes, DC Universe proved that it had a real winner on its hands.

There is so much weird stuff that happens in Doom Patrol, but it's all handled so organically that it's easy to get invested in the show. It is predominantly a show about characters who have found themselves in an unnatural situation. With this focus on characters over powers and flair, Doom Patrol is an excellent show to binge for now.

8 BATMAN BEYOND

Batman: The Animated Series started a small universe in animation involving DC's characters. It had a few spin-offs, and one of them was set in the future. Batman Beyond tells the story of a young man in Gotham City, decades in the future. He finds an elderly Bruce Wayne as well as the Bat Cave and trains to become the new Batman.

Not only is he trying to clean up the streets of Gotham, but this new Batman is dealing with the repercussions of a world without the Dark Knight to protect them for so long. Batman Beyond was a great epilogue for the story of Gotham City.

7 BATMAN

Batman Robin Adam West Burt Ward Batmobile

If retro is your thing, then Batman from the 1960s would be just the show to binge. Starring the always-charismatic Adam West and Burt Ward, there are so many laughable adventures to follow. The show is ridiculous and cheesy, but it embraces those things so well that it's fun to watch from start to finish.

Seeing older interpretations of these iconic characters is a lot of fun. The show is also guaranteed to get several chuckles out of you, due to its out-of-style jokes and humor. With so many episodes under its belt, Batman is a worthy show to watch.

6 YOUNG JUSTICE

Young Justice is one of the newer animated shows in DC's line-up, and it quickly garnered a loyal fanbase. With the show having two seasons that both gave the DC Universe more context while developing a younger roster of heroes, there was a lot to unpack with this show. However, it was canceled after its second season, but thankfully renewed for a third season on the DC Universe streaming service.

With the show getting picked back up, now is a great time to get caught up and watch all the adventures following DC's youngest heroes. With so many engaging characters and interconnected threads, it's easy to get hooked.

5 ARROW

Arrow was the first superhero show to exist in the Arrowverse. Having just finished its seventh season and ending with its eighth season, Arrow is an extremely binge-worthy show. To be fair, it goes through some of its low points in its third and fourth seasons, but its quality gets better after that point.

Watching from the beginning, viewers will see how Oliver Queen evolves from a vengeful vigilante to a dutiful protector of the city he loves. Watching it will also show viewers how the Arrowverse grows from one show to an entire universe of heroes and villains from DC canon.

4 THE FLASH

The Flash Season 5 Premiere

The Flash is the second Arrowverse show in the lineup, and arguably the most binge-worthy of the bunch. It embraces the superhero nature of comic properties, where Arrow largely goes for a more grounded approach. As a result, The Flash resonates with a much larger audience, as it shows the story of Barry Allen adjusting to his new powers and taking down the man who killed his mother.

Barry has to continually manage his own grief while protecting Central City, and there are so many twists and turns along the way that it makes for a great binge. Go through one season at a time for the full experience.

3 GOTHAM

Gotham recently ended its five-season run, and there was a lot to like as it went on. The show started out on rocky territory, but the quality only went up. As the show embraced the origin of the Dark Knight as well as some of his most iconic villains, it really started to come into its own.

Presenting these events through the eyes of a young Jim Gordon was also an excellent choice, as it helped paint a new perspective on Batman lore. Gotham also finishes the way Batman begins:  with the villains going down dark paths and the GCPD turning to a man in a bat suit.

2 BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES

When talking about the best cartoons of all time, you're bound to hear someone mention Batman: The Animated Series. This classic cartoon was inspired by Tim Burton's Batman movie, and it was created with such reverence for the source material and respect for the character that it's hard not to love.

Each episode provides interesting character moments and even plot threads that develop in later episodes. It also featured the start of Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as the Joker, which are two of the most iconic voices for their respective roles. With so many episodes to watch, there's no time like the present to go through this show.

1 SMALLVILLE

The precursor show to the Arrowverse, Smallville was a big deal when it came out. Essentially being a long origin story for the Man of Steel, it shows Clark Kent as a strapping young lad as he learns more about his past, beginning to embrace his powers to deal with a large roster of villains.

With cameo appearances from the budding Justice League, it's hard not to get invested in this story. Viewers get to see how Clark Kent slowly grew into the hero he is in the present. The best part is how the show ends, but we won't spoil that here.
