If you're looking to get an idea about how critics feel about a movie or TV show, Rotten Tomatoes is the place to go. With their simple to understand "Fresh" or "Rotten" rating system and a nice percentage to tell you how many reviewers liked something, a person can quickly get a basic idea if something is worth watching or if they should skip it. Of course, just because something wasn't liked by critics at the time doesn't mean a show is actually bad, which is why Rotten Tomatoes continues to add revues long after a show or movie has come out.

And with the help of Rotten Tomatoes, you can find out which ones are the most loved pretty quickly.

10 Young Justice 95%

Young Justice Animated Series

The animated adventures of DC's greatest sidekicks and teen heroes, Young Justice was originally created for Cartoon Network but was canceled after the second season. Thanks to the hard work of the fans, DC announced a third season three years after the initial cancelation, bringing new stories to the fans on the DC Universe streaming service. With a fourth season, Young Justice: Phantoms, coming soon, it looks like fans will get to see a lot more of Superboy, Robin, Miss Martian, and the rest of the heroes in more action-packed stories.

9 Black Lightning 95%

Cress Williams as Black Lightning

Initially kept separate from the Arrowverse, Black Lightning has been praised for the way the series tackles issues of race, police brutality, and parenthood all while fitting in plenty of superhero action. Cress Williams, who plays the titular character, has been given special praise by critics for his work in the role.

Now that Black Lightning has joined the other Arrowverse shows after the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths, it's likely that we'll see not only Black Lightning but his daughters Lightning and Thunder mix it up with Flash, Supergirl, and maybe even the Legends of Tomorrow if they feel like being part of the next crossover.

8 Watchmen 95%

Regina King as Sister Night in Watchmen

Creating a sequel to what is arguably the greatest comic book ever made, HBO's Watchmen is set thirty-four years after the events of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon's classic story where the line between vigilantes and police officers has been erased and a white supremacist group is searching for Doctor Manhattan, looking to use his powers for their own wants.

The announcement of Watchmen was met with a fair amount of trepidation, but the show quickly won viewers over by keeping the feel of the comic without trying to copy it. Realizing that catching lightning in a bottle was hard enough to do once, producer Damon Lindelof and HBO rightly decided to end the series after the first season.

7 Justice League 95%

Justice League animated series

The animated series that brought together the other DC shows that Bruce Timm had created, Justice League was the first time since Super Friends that Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman all shared the screen together. Adding in Martian Manhunter, Flash, Green Lantern, and Hawkgirl to round out the team, Justice League was an instant hit with critics and fans. The show only ran for two seasons but it spun off into an even more ambitious series where the seven heroes were joined by dozens of other DC characters looking to make their mark in the animated universe.

6 Batman: The Brave and the Bold 96%

Golden Age Flash and Batman on Batman: The Brave and the Bold

After a number of darker animated shows about the Caped Crusader, DC and Warner Brothers decided to make a series that was funny and light. Batman: The Brave and the Bold saw a Dark Knight who resembled Dick Sprang's version of the hero teaming up with a number of DC heroes for wild adventures that called back to the Silver Age stories of the comics. Along with Batman, viewers got to see some classic heroes like Aquaman and Green Arrow as well as the lesser-known characters like 'Mazing Man, Ambush Bug, and Black Orchid.

5 Justice League Unlimited 96%

All the heroes from Justice League Unlimited

The sequel to Justice League, Justice League Unlimited saw the original seven members of the Justice League open the team up to a slew of new members. With heroes like The Question, Captain Atom, and Black Canary joining the team, Justice League Unlimited also took Justice League's two-part story structure to the next level, with the multi-part Cadmus arc and the whole of the third and final season being one long story.

Along with telling a number of great stories about characters who rarely show up in the comics, let alone on TV, Justice League Unlimited also allowed Bruce Timm and the behind-the-scenes crew tie up loose ends from Superman: The Animated Series and giving an ending to Batman Beyond and the Timmverse that fans had hoped to see.

4 Doom Patrol 96%

Doom Patrol having a good time

The second live-action series created specifically for the DC Universe streaming service, Doom Patrol has garnered praise not only for the show's drama and action but for its oddball sense of humor as well. Starring Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, April Bowlby as Rita Farr, Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder, Joivan Wade as Cyborg and with Brendan Fraser and Matt Bomer lending their voices for Cliff Steele and Larry Trainor respectively, Doom Patrol has taken the off the wall characters of DC's strangest team and brought them to live-action in a way no one could have dreamed of. It was recently announced that with the third season of the series, Doom Patrol would become an HBO Max exclusive.

3 Batman: The Animated Series 97%

Batman-in-Batman-the-Animated-Series-From-90s

The animated series that kicked off fourteen years of shows, Batman: The Animated Series took the Dark Knight and boiled him down to his most iconic form. Created by Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski, this series gave millions of new fans their first look at Batman and paved the way for Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, The Zeta Project, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited.

For many people, it's impossible not to hear Kevin Conroy's voice when they think of Batman, and Mark Hamill's version of Joker was so creepy it gave kids nightmares. The show was so popular that it spawned a theatrically released film, Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm, and still stands as one of the greatest animated shows of all time.

2 Batman Beyond 100%

Batman Beyond Animated Series

Set in the future of the Batman: The Animated Series universe, Batman Beyond sees a Gotham City in need of a new protector after Bruce Wayne becomes too old to continue fighting crime as Batman. When Bruce meets teenager Terry McGinnis, he finds someone who can take up the mantle and bring Batman back.

Featuring a mix of classic characters and new additions to the Batman mythos, Batman Beyond showed fans a future Gotham that still suffered the scars of the past while building to a new tomorrow. The series, created by Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, and Alan Burnett, brought a new piece to the legend of the Dark Knight that has continued on in the comics.

1 Green Lantern: The Animated Series 100%

Green Lantern all CGI animated series

Made to coincide with the live-action movie and to sell a line of toys, Green Lantern: The Animated Series lasted just one season, but was loved by critics and audiences. The series, one of the first fully CGI shows, focused on Hal Jordan, his partner Kilowog, and their fellow Green Lantern Corps teammates as they worked to keep the universe safe. While the show was a hit for Cartoon Network, the failure of the movie and the poor sales of the toyline led to its cancelation after just twenty-six episodes.
