10 Kyoko Hori Looks After Her Little Brother, Souta (Horimiya)

kyoko horimiya

Kyoko Hori is the girlfriend of the gentle and sweet Izumi Miyamura, and they combined their last names to form the series' title, Horimiya. Like Izumi, Kyoko is more than she seems, and her classmates only know her as a chatty, popular campus queen. But her life isn't all about that.

At home, Kyoko is a humble and hard worker who often serves as a substitute mother figure for her much younger brother Souta, though their actual mother is also around sometimes. As a bonus, little Souta gets along well with his sister's boyfriend and views him as a big brother.

9 Tatsumaki Is A Mighty Tsundere Hero (One-Punch Man)

Tatsumaki from One-Punch Man.

The #2 member of the Hero Association is the tiny but tough Tatsumaki, a hero known for her stylish black dress, her vivid green hair, and most of all, her incredible telekinetic powers, including her ability to fly like Superman. She can't stand Saitama, though, and has a one-sided rivalry with him.

Not much is known of Tatsumaki's personal life, though she does seem to struggle with boredom at times, just like Saitama. On the plus side, she gets along fairly well with her younger sister, Fubuki, AKA Blizzard. Oddly, their appearances would suggest that Fubuki is the older one, but it's the opposite.

8 Touka Kirishima Isn't A Villain Like Her Brother (Tokyo Ghoul)

Katarina Beaming In My Next Life As A Villainess Anime

The otome villainess Katarina Claes is the only daughter of Millidiana and Luigi Claes, and at one point, the family adopted the boy Keith, who became Keith Claes. He and Katarina appear to be roughly the same age, but given how he often calls her "nee-san," it's safe to say that Katarina is an official anime big sister.

The new Katarina is much kinder to her slightly younger brother than the original. This new Katarina is a model big sister, looking after Keith and protecting his happiness at all costs. In fact, she treats all her friends this way, and she wouldn't harm a fly. Her life is all about friendship and joy.

Temari looking serious in Naruto.

When she was introduced in the chunin exam story arc, the wind-based kunoichi Temari was a borderline villain, just like her little brothers, Kankuro and Gaara. Temari soon had a change of heart, though, and became a vital ally of the Hidden Leaf Village in later story arcs, including many in Shippuden.

Temari is a stylish and powerful Sand shinobi who wowed fans time and again with her advanced jutsu, and she became a more openly caring and loving big sister than ever. By the events of Boruto, she is married to the brilliant Shikamaru Nara and had a son with him.

Mirajane laughing

There's a lot to love about the powerhouse Fairy Tail wizard known as Mirajane Strauss, including her incredibly powerful, demon-themed Take Over magic and her nerves of steel in combat, even when facing the demon books of Zeref. But there's more to her than that.

Mirajane is the oldest and strongest of the three Strausses, and she would gladly risk her life for Elfman and Lisanna and vice versa. Mirajane is also noted for her caring and warm big sister persona, literally and otherwise, and she is also fashionable and attractive as well. She even volunteers as a barmaid in the Fairy Tail guild hall, too.
