Bernie Sanders Reimagined as He-Man Style Hero in New Comic

As the Democratic presidential primary field continues to grow ahead of next year's election, Devil's Due Comics is releasing a one-shot special issue spotlighting one of the most talked about candidates.

Fresh off the heels of all the advance buzz for its one-shot reimagining Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a superhero, Devil's Due is releasing a comic this July depicting presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders as a warrior hero in the style of He-Man. Titled Talk Bernie to Me!: The Bernie Sanders Special and AOC Surprise, the one-shot is written and illustrated by a whole team of writers and artists delivering an anthology of short stories. A special backup will feature Ocasio-Cortez.

"I've been increasingly impressed with Sanders' ingenuity and ability to be on the right side of history -- even when it’s not the popular thing to do -- from his fights for civil rights and healthcare many decades ago, to the introduction of the recent Stop BEZOS Act and Stop WALMART Act," Devil's Due Publisher Joshua Blaylock said in a written statement. "I'm excited to see him leading this new movement as a frontrunner for the Democratic Party."
