Producer Greg Berlanti has turned to a familiar face to fill the showrunner role on The CW's "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," naming frequent collaborator Phil Klemmer to the position. According to a report on Deadline, Klemmer will work with executive producers Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim and Sarah Schechter on developing the upcoming "Arrow"/"The Flash" spinoff series.

Klemmer, who will also receive an Exeuctive Producer credit for "Legends," worked with Berlanti on "The Tomorrow People," "Golden Boy" and "Political Animals." He has executive producer/showrunner experience from his time on "Chuck" and "Veronica Mars."

Scheduled to premiere as part of the network's midseason lineup, the eagerly anticipated show stars Caity Lotz as White Canary, Brandon Routh as the Atom, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein (one-half of Firestorm), Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl and Arthur Darvill as time-traveler Rip Hunter. Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin will appear as Arrow and the Flash.
