The 12-issue DC Comics maxi-series Lois Lane and Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen are winding down, with each comic's respective finale slated to hit shelves this June. While the two titles are coming to and end, however, they will evidently have lasting implications for the Superman mythos as Brian Michael Bendis' time writing for the Man of Steel continues.Bendis took to Twitter in response to Lois Lane #12 and Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #12 being officially given June release dates. Written by Greg Rucka and illustrated by Mike Perkins, Lois Lane launched this past July and follows the intrepid investigative reporter as she falls down a rabbit hole of conspiracy and intrigue. Meanwhile, the slightly more humorous Jimmy Olsen series by Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber finds the Daily Planet photographer on misadventures of own.

After signing an exclusive deal with DC a couple years ago, Bendis has largely overseen the current era of Superman, writing the Man of Steel limited series before relaunching the main Superman title and taking over as writer of Action Comics. The biggest status quo change Bendis has orchestrated as of yet is the reveal of Superman's secret identity to the world. And judging by his comments regarding the tie-in series, it seems the the changes in Supes' life aren't quite through yet.

Written by Greg Rucka and illustrated by Mike Perkins, Lois Lane #10 goes on sale April 1 from DC Comics, followed by issue #11 on May 6 and the final issue #12 on June 3. Written by Matt Fraction and illustrated by Steve Lieber, Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #9 goes on sale March 18, followed by issue #10 on April 15, issue #11 on May 20 and the final issue #12 on June 17.
