When Christian Bale assumed the mantle of the Dark Knight in 2005's Batman Begins, little did anyone know the effect his performance would have. More specifically, his gravely Batman voice forever changed the way audiences thought the hero should sound.
Despite all the parodies, and the occasional complaint, Bale’s Batman voice has become so iconic that, at some point, virtually everyone has tried to mimic it. Now, like most things in life, the cowl has passed on, this time to Ben Affleck, who debuted in the role last year in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Of course, he has his own approach to the Dark Knight, but that hasn’t stopped fans from comparing his voice to that of Bale.
For NBC's Red Nose Day special, which raises money for the charity Comic Relief, Affleck was called upon not only to make an appearance, but also to, yes, do his best Batman voice. No, not that Batman voice -- the Bale Batman voice.

When the actor's attempt doesn't quite measure up, the discerning fans says, "I think maybe I just want Christian Bale to do it."
