A brand-new trailer for Season 4 of Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon (often abbreviated as DanMachi) has been released, giving fans a closer look at what adventures await Bell Cranel and his friends in the next level of Orario's labyrinth.
Season 4 of DanMachi will mainly focus on the events of volumes 12-14 of the original light novel series of the same name. Released on the official Warner Bros. Japan Youtube channel, the new trailer shows Bell and the other members of the Hestia Familia going up against many vicious monsters inside the labyrinth. Along with scenes of intense action, the trailer also features a light-hearted encounter between Bell and a mermaid, who may end up becoming an important ally in the next stage of Bell's journey.
Season 4 of DanMachi is still scheduled to premiere in Japan on July 22. As with the previous three seasons, it will be produced by J.C Staff and will feature the return of several key staff members, including Hideki Tachibana as director, Shigeki Kimoto as character designer, and Hideki Shirane as script supervisor. Fujino Omori, the author of the original DanMachi light novels, will be formally joining the anime staff for the new season, working alongside Shirane as an additional script supervisor. The series voice cast will also reprise their roles, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, the voice of the series' main protagonist, Bell Cranel.
The group sajou no hana, will also return to perform the anime's new opening theme song, "Tento." The season's ending theme, "Guide" will be performed by singer and voice actor Saori Hayami, who also stars in the show as the character of Ryuu Lion, a waitress for a popular pub within Orario.
DanMachi is set within a world where adventurers join forces in groups called "Familias" and pledge their allegiance to a particular god. They serve their gods by venturing into the depths of an underground dungeon beneath the city of Orario, facing the perils that await them there and becoming stronger in the process.
Yen Press has licensed the Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon light novel series for distribution in North America. Volume 16 of this series was released in English last July. Those who want to catch up on the DanMachi anime can watch the previous three seasons on Hulu and HIDIVE. The 2019 DanMachi film, Arrow of the Orion is available to stream exclusively on HIDIVE.
