Beer me, Obi-Wan: Testing real-life lightsaber requires alcohol, a coat

After inventing a real-life lightsaber, Allen Pan plays Jedi Master to the Padawans of Node, instructing them in the weapon's use in this entertaining, and probably kind of dangerous, video.

Like a Sith Lord in some kind of galactic fraternity, Pan advises that anyone who wields the elegant weapon for a more civilized age keep some beer on hand -- in case the lightsaber would happen to spray fuel on them, of course. Yes, of course.

"As long as we've got the beer and a fire extinguisher," he says, "then, like, nothing bad can happen."

And nothing bad does happen, unless you count some damage to a trench coat/"Jedi robe," or repeated mangling of Star Wars quotes.
