A fan-edited video has convinced some Beavis and Butt-Head fans that it's an official teaser.

The video depicts Beavis and Butt-Head at a Comedy Central press conference promoting their new series revival. A young woman wearing a face mask points out that it has been about 20 years since Beavis and Butt-Head originally aired and asks how the new show will address the increasing demand for representation by people of color and the LGBTQ+ community. "So I'm trying to understand, why you and why now?" she asks. Butt-Head immediately replies, "I thought it was because we're stupid." "Yeah, not very smart," Beavis concurs.

The video was made by film editor/actor Steven Anderson and produced by Ruhi Bhalla, who also voiced the interviewer. In the comments, some fans seemed to believe the video was a genuine release. "I need this more than a stimulus package," one comment reads. "Cause 2020 is stupid." Another commenter admitted, "I legit thought this was official but hey this is really well made for a fan trailer."

While this trailer may just be a fan edit, the 2020 revival is still real. Beavis and Butt-Head creator Mike Judge is returning as a writer and producer and will also continue to voice the destructive duo. Comedy Central has already ordered two new seasons, along with spinoffs and specials.
