A new clip from Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe sees Beavis and Butt-Head meet alternate versions of themselves as parodies of the Watchers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Released during the 2022 MTV Movie Awards, the clip comes after the release of the first trailer for the Beavis and Butt-Head movie coming to Paramount+. The scene shows the slacker duo on the beach when they encounter "Smart Beavis" and "Smart Butt-Head," who tell the boys about the existence of multiple universes with multiple iterations of themselves. However, in each universe, Beavis and Butt-Head never score with the chicks. With that revelation, the original duo believes they will be the first ones to do so.RELATED: Beavis and Butt-Head Creator Shares First Look at Revival Film, Sets Release Window

Created by Mike Judge, Beavis and Butt-Head originated as a short film called Frog Baseball in 1992. The short film aired on MTV's Liquid Television and was picked up to a full series in 1993. Beavis and Butt-Head was a hit from the start with their music video commentaries and the leud scenarios that they encountered from get-rich-quick schemes to failed attempts to score with women.

The massive success of Beavis and Butt-Head spawned a variety of licensed products including dolls, action figures, Marvel comic books and video games. Its popularity cumulated to its arrival on the big screen in 1996's Beavis and Butt-Head Do America. It received favorable reviews and was a hit at the box office, grossing $63 million in the U.S. The original series would last seven seasons and it came to its conclusion in 1997. Judge had discussed plans for a sequel to Beavis and Butt-Head Do America for years, though it never got past the development stage. In 2011, MTV brought the original series back for a short-lived 22-episode run.

In 2020, it was revealed that Judge had signed a deal to create all-new episodes of Beavis and Butt-Head, as well as spinoffs and specials, for Comedy Central. However, those plans were seemingly altered when it was announced by Judge almost a year later that the duo would return for a full-length feature film at Paramount+. Despite this, it was revealed as recently as January 2022 that Judge was hoping to launch an entire franchise of spinoffs with the revival of Beavis and Butthead.

Beavis and Butt-Head: Do the Future will see the titular characters go to Space Camp in 1998. After getting on a space shuttle that encounters a large black hole, they reemerge in 2022 where they will learn to adjust to the times as they are hunted by the Deep State.

Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe arrives on Paramount+ June 23.
