Mike Judge is reviving Beavis and Butt-Head at Comedy Central, in a deal that includes two new seasons, spinoffs and specials.

"We are thrilled to be working with Mike Judge and the great team at 3 Arts again as we double down on adult animation at Comedy Central," ViacomCBS Entertainment and Youth Group President Chris McCarthy said in a statement. "Beavis and Butt-Head were a defining voice of a generation, and we can’t wait to watch as they navigate the treacherous waters of a world light-years from their own."

"It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again," Judge added.

A description of the new Beavis and Butt-Head teases a "whole new Gen Z world" that will be an entry point to new viewers while also being familiar to longtime fans. Judge will return to voice both iconic characters, along with serving as writer and producer.

Comedy Central recently announced that another MTV animated series, Jodie, will also be joining the network. Jodie is a spinoff of MTV's Daria. Created and written by Grace Edwards, Comedy Central's Jodie is a spinoff of Glenn Eichler and Susie Lewis Lynn's 1997 MTV series Daria, which was itself a spinoff of Mike Judge's 1993 MTV series Beavis and Hutt-Head.
